Simple-But-Mesmerizing Piano Pattern (PERFECT For Beginners)

Музыка

What’s up my piano friends! Today I’m going to teach you a simple pattern for piano, that sounds REALLY cool right out the gate.
We’re going to start out with the “so-easy-a-kindergartener-could-learn-it” version (which already sounds good!) and then progressively build on it making it slowly but surely more and more challenging.
Oh, and in the process you’ll learn “Let it Go” from Frozen on piano (one of the most requested songs I get). And more importantly, within teaching you Frozen, I’ll be simultaneously teaching you the PROCESS to learn ANY song using chords. But it’s more fun if I teach it while doing an example.
Then we’ll go onto an intermediate version for you go-getters out there. And lastly, at the END of the video I’ll show you a very simple way to multiply this pattern into 4 patterns with literally no extra practice on your part (hows that for bang-for-your-buck!)
Make sure you download the cheat sheet here to get started:
CHEAT SHEET INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Go here: bestpianoclass.pages.ontrapor...
2. Sign Up with your name and email (yes, it’s really free lol)
3. Download your Cheat Sheets!
Happy practicing!

Hello there. So, have you mastered the drumming rudiments and are you able to perform a proper 2 stroke drum roll? Do hope you don't mind me asking, but had practise pad and sticks, DVDs, tutorial books, a couple of lessons and practiced for eons. Had a kit and COULD learn grooves and beats. Even John Bonham/Bernard Perdie shuffle! However, ultimately gave up due to failure to satifactorily master the rudiments. Regards - Mike

you are the best piano teacher for beginners that I EVER HEARD ABOUT. It is like piano for completely dummies (just like me) and it rly works. I tried everything else and i didnt have ANY coordination. Now I finally could pass the stuck phase that i was with the piano. I couldnt learn it at all, but your lessons guide me through it and kept me motivated, it was super helpful, I did them in 2018, im back now to try more of your amazing tutorials and methods, because im feeling stuck again. I have hands coordination now, I know scales and chords, im looking for improvisation and also ill try to get better at rhythms and patterns with the chords, i do like this video tho, it seems "easy", but you did put it in such nice way increasing the difficult that makes me wanna try the entire lesson. * Ill put the time that i took to learn once I try the lesson to finish i just want to say thank you for your videos and all the effort you put on it believing anyone can play the piano. I do love your methods

I've been learning piano for the last 11 months, and have learned to play with both hands, too. I discovered your Four Money Chords yesterday, and found them straightforward, but such a welcome change to the normal tunes that I've been playing. Tell you what, Zach, the difference is you.... you and your enthusiasm for what you do!! Now I'm looking at the Simple-but-mesmerizing-piano pattern, and it's such a blast to pick up on an entirely new challenge. At age 73, I wish I had longer fingers, but it's great exercise to get my clumsy hands working! Good on you!

I started playing by ear with just the major cords of this progression for the song “Stand by me” by b.b. king, when I was 10. I’ve since used variations in right hand playing style for those chords and applied it to many synthesizer jams but never ventured past that with the minor cords. Really appreciate this video. I was looking for something slightly outside my comfort zone with that progression that would give me more options and this was right up my alley. Thanks again!

First part I learned right away but then I have experience as I am a voice teacher and performance coach and I studied music in college. Zach, I have been following you for the past 2 years now, you are so awesome and an exceptional✨teacher! I am even one of your piano university students, but I must confess that due to some ‘life’ stuff over the past 2 years I haven’t been able to put my focus towards my music and becoming a better pianist, etc. However I am happy to say ...to use the Johnny Cash song “I can see clearly now the rain is gone...” and so I came here to KZread this morning to look up your ‘secret sauce pattern’ that I had ‘accidentally’ come across a month ago while watching your amazing tEDTalk (people! Go check it out RIGHT now it’s SO inspiring!) but found myself instead here on THIS lesson. I just wanted to say...YOU ROCK⚡️ and thank you for being a TRUE-to-the-heart💘 exceptional teacher and Super Human! And btw... your periodical text messages with videos to inspire us to practice are working.. and you always bring me a smile and a chuckle! Ty!🤗

This is awesome!! I learned in about 45 minutes then took a break for an hour an for some reason played better the second time but, I'm a boomer and I only started this last weekend so Im pretty slow 🐌 This is a awesome lesson and very useful. The fact that it uses simple progressions instead of trying to play each measure note for note ( which is hard and quite frankly, frustrating for me ) makes me feel a greater sense of accomplishment and sounds great. Thank you so much for the lesson and the cheat sheet 🙂👍

I got lost at 10:14 with the G major. I'll have to sleep on it like recommended and get back to this tomorrow. Watching the 4 cords video has helped me understand this video better.

Great Beginners video. I have taken this idea and am using 3 notes in the right hand, and octaves in the left hand. Trying out various note combinations of the chords (inversons). Really intersting as to how one can control the tension and release.. For the C & G I go down in the right hand, then for A & F go up. Love you energy and enthusiasm.

So informative as far as cords go, and learning a song. I would call this video a bit more intermediate for some. but your previous beginners video was much more introduction for true beginners.

Hello zach! I understand that part when you gonna pick two notes where the one should be the right and the other should be the leftmost. This is a switch for just chords. But the main reason with this comment, is why it is a b major first inversion, it does not say on the paper, why did you do so? Check 12:55

He inverts the chords in order to keep them close, as it's a close chords sheet. It makes it easier to play those chords and arpeggiate those chords on one hand

Hello Zac, I am very impressed on how you teach. I have been playing for years and the last several years playing hymns in the church. I have wanted to Expand on that as I do read music no tend to “go to” place and not now to do chording as I red music. I am hoping that with your lessons, this will help me out of that comfort zone and challenge me to open up more creative ways to piano playing. Thank you.
