My god thank you for this. I’ve been trying to think of a way to proactively remove all my tiny pest snails without having to worry about my bigger nerite snails

solid idea and I bet it works, but I have tiny Amana shrimp and pygmy cory's so unfortunately this will lead to issues in my tank.

I'm planning to use this in a tank with both shrimp and fry. The brilliance of this design means I can dismantle it and set the swimmers free before I lift the contraption out of the water to remove the snails 😁

Don’t do this if you have shrimp. 🦐 will also die.

They are all gone now, but I'll post after a new infestation!

The best way to have some success is weighing it down with a few rocks and a little substrate, and I put a few drops of garlic power or garlic guard on the wafers of algae and shrimp and the last tip is bait seems to get most after the lights are off and the next morning the trap will have worked right or if not sometimes you have to stop feeding the tank and then probably the best thing to do is to get everything cleaned out overall and then the food source will be a trap

Do I put it in sideways or on the base of the bottle?
