    I use one to start my workout routine. Turn the light and TV on, make the TV switch inputs to the Apple TV, open Apple Fitness on my phone so I can pick a workout and turn the fan and air purifier full blast.

    How can i make an automation where i can double scan my nfc tag, means if i scan it once it will toggle my lights, and if i double scan it it will toggle my fan.

    Unfortunately, I don’t think I know the answer to this one. I’m assuming you might be able to set something like that up through the Shortcuts app on iPhone, but you’d basically have to code it yourself and I am not very good at that 🙃

    It's doable without coding, just using the HA automation UI. One way: 1. Set up a Counter helper called Tag Scans 2. Set up a Toggle helper called Tag Recently Scanned 3. Create an automation that you trigger when you scan the tag that increments the Tag Scans counter by 1 and sets the Recently Scanned toggle to "on" 4. Create one automation that runs when the value of Recently Scanned has the state "on" for 5 seconds (or maybe 10). Add a condition that checks that Tag Scans is equal to 1. Make the action turn on your light, and reset Recently Scanned to false. 5. Duplicate the automation from step 4, but change the condition to check that Tag Scans is equal to 2, and change the "turn on light" action to "turn on fan". Should work for what you want!

    Unrelated question but still a tech question. How do you record like that ? What kind of camera do you use ??! And do you use multiple cameras or it's the same camera but set in different room ....I'm planning on starting my own channel but I'm very new

    how can i program them to a Burglar alarm?

  • @wyatttech

    @wyatttech

    Жыл бұрын

    It depends on what type of system you have. If you have a smart alarm system (like Ring), you can scan an NFC tag that triggers the Alexa app to arm the system. If you don’t have a smart or wifi alarm system, it will be more difficult and depend on how your system works. You could consider plugging your system into a smart plug that turns on via an NFC automation, or even use a device like the SwitchBot to physically press the button to arm the system. Just a few ideas. I hope this helps and thanks for watching!

I set it up so either my phone or my gf’s phone can scan the NFC tag, to arm or disarm the system. Then it gives us 60 seconds to leave and close all doors before arming.
