Simple Abstract Charcoal and Acrylic Painting Technique

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This exercise is almost to simple. Everyone can do this. It is a layered painting using pencil drawing, abstract charcoal, a charcoal and acrylic painting and in a way a little bit of template painting. You can switch layers so make a painting over charcoal drawing or do it the other way around. Anyway, this simple abstract charcoal and acrylic painting technique is very interesting and fun to do. Just grab your paint and make one yourself.

    Good question, Steven. I didn't. But it sounds like a good idea. It also depends on what you will do with it. In case you frame it, you don't touch it anymore. In case you just want the experience and don't want to hang onto what you make, you don't. Check the website or channel of Dan Tirels, the inspiration source. He will probably have the best answer. Hope this helps. Albert

  • @ImperfectPaintings

    @ImperfectPaintings

    3 жыл бұрын

    Hi TJ, it's a matter of measuring and calculating. So how many squares do you want, how much space in between and for the borders. Than draw all the squares on one sheet, cut them out, a sharp hobby knife and a metal ruler worked best for me. When finished you have a template with holes to put over a second sheet and draw the squares. Keep the template for later use. I believe I made three or four different ones for my painting course so they could choose and create different artwork. Because I'm not good with numbers I messed up once or twice 😉 Take an hour to make one. Hope this helps. Albert
