Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
This video takes you step by step through the creation of a simple 6"x6" interactive mini album.
This project only takes a couple hours to put together and is perfect for a gift or to sell at a craft fair.
I use the Urban Jungle paper collection for this project, but any paper you have will work great.
Minimal supplies needed. Use what you have.
Here is the walkthrough of the finished album
• Simple 6x6 Mini Album ...
There are 3 page designs and each one is used twice.

Years and years ago when we were really poor, I had scraps of material and bits and pieces, I used to make presents for the grandparents of material photo frames. Anyway, someone told me to use cereal box cardboard. They also told me to glue the coloured sides to the inside so that you wouldn't see it! Fantastic idea!
That Cat,😺, I loved it.

Zuri is a pretty amazing little guy for sure! He's been a bit camera shy lately though!
I feel that your video was clear, easy to follow, included some useful tips and is one of the best videos I have seen. Thank you. I am starting on my album today....instead of cleaning my living room! Thanks for saving me from that too.

Thank you! That's awesome to hear. And, yes, crafting is always preferable to cleaning!
I love the way you make these albums! I've made quite a few lately but yours have to be the most economical time wise! They're really easy to follow and I love how your pages lie too! Great ideas and fabulous to follow too!
You just changed my crafting world!! Thank you so much for sharing 💕

THANK YOU! I found you by accident on You Tube, and you are now firmly in my favourites! I will be making this project soon, with Christmas papers. as it is time to start those gifts. Now I will watch another of your tutorials.
Love this! Especially the way you attached the pages to the album. Quick and effective. Can’t wait to see the mug or candle holder with alcohol inks. Always so happy when you post a new video!

Love this! Really like how you put the spine together! I think I’m going to make this today!

I will have to watch and take notes…. Aside frome getting the dimensions. I am liking this OH so much. Thank you.
Me again!! I wouldn't mind seeing you put all the patterned paper on the pages, but only if you have the time. I know that you are a super busy young lady. God bless you, you are such an encouraging inspiration. Thanks again for everything. Becky B
Hello Zuri, so nice to see you. Oh, and hello to you too Katia, LoL. Always nice to see you. Thanks for sharing your ideas, much appreciated by me, especially since I don't have my own income to buy your tutorials. Anyway, thanks for everything. Take care and God bless you and yours. Thank you! Zuri and his brother Tundra (who looks just like him) are always in the studio with me. I love when they supervise until they get paint on their little toe beans and track it through the house. It's happened more than once around here! Even then though, they have my heart!
This album tutorial is AMAZING! I just made my very first albumbase using this tutorial 😍 I did something off with putting the pages to the cover so it keeps coming off 🙈 I hope I'll figure out what went wrong on the next one, cause I'll definitely make more of these!
Wow very neat. You make it look easy. Must have been a lot of work designing. I want to make a baby book for a gift ❤ can’t wait to try this…..
I came across your video looking for a 6x6 album. I must say, I have never seen pages attached to that kind of "hinge". Not sure I can make it work, but I'm willing to try. Great tutorial; you make it look easy.
Beautiful
Yeah! It’d be great if you can show us adding the pattern paper as well…this is my first time watching your tutorial and I’m already in love with your process…its so cool!!!

Hi again Katia, just wanted to say how much I like your instructions. And 1 question, since Zuri likes to hang out with you on your craft table, when you're working with glues, paints, guey stuff - has he ever landed in the middle of such things? Anyway, thanks again for sharing these creations with all your tips, tricks and alternative ideas. God bless you. Sincerely Becky B from Arkansas
Hi, love the album. At the bottom it says "Full cutting and scoring guide", however I don't see it. Could you provide that please? Thanks Bobby
I’m stopping in to say what an amazing teacher you are! I was able to follow along & make this style of book without any difficulty! I am using a prima paper pack called Cherry Blossom. Thank you for sharing your talents so that others can learn from you! Oh & I love the way you attach the pages to the book.
Zuri é tão fofa
I made an 8x8 mini album I post a video of what It looks like. I used the graphic 45 fairies wings paper It took one 12x12 paper pad and then I got 2 8x8 paper pads I turned out pretty good for my first attempt tfs
He looks just like my Sebastian. I let him go in September and my world will never be the same.
Not sure if you read comments that are so old, but, I would love you to make an album with lots of fold outs and little or no pockets. Great fast little album.

I will definitely put that on my growing requests list for sure Pam! I'm not sure if i"ve ever made a whole album without pockets. Sounds like a great challenge!
Thank you for how to make an album. You noted that above the full cutting and scoring guide but I could not find it. Thanks for your help.

Hi Lily, I'm so very sorry that I actually forgot to include it! I'm currently moving and have no idea where my noted are for this project but will try to correct this once boxes are unpacked. There are measurements that come up on the screen throughout the video though, so you can pause whenever they do , to write them down.
I love your creations! You have unique fasteners in your videos. Where would I find that type of thing? I live in a small town, so order everything from the internet.
@LunarSunCreations
Жыл бұрын
I use a lot of magnets in my albums, but many of my fasteners and swing tabs are from the paper collections themselves. I like to make swing tabs out of clay too. I have a couple videos about that on my channel. As for metal embellishments, I just get mine from places like Etsy or Amazon.
I love this!! What are the odds in all the land you have a cutting guide??
@LunarSunCreations
4 ай бұрын
Sorrry, somehow I missed this comment in my daily replies. Unfortunely I don't usually make a cutting guide for the smaller albums. I've since sold this album. If I can find the time this week, I'll try to watch through he video and write down the measurements and put them in the description box. No promises, as life is pretty hectic, but I'll put it on the to do list.
i love the cat
Love this cute album and my granddaughter is all excited over Zuri. Is he a rag doll?

Awww! Zuri and his brother Tundra ( who look almost identical) are Himalayan/ Rag Doll cross. Good eye!!
do you normally decorate the pages before you adhere then in the book or is it easier to do it afterwards?
@katiaeverett9965
2 жыл бұрын
I tend to decorate the pages beforehand. I find it easier to move around my work area as a single page, rather then a whole album. It's a personal preference though. You can certainly add your pages first, then decorate them.
Love your tatoos
Can you use this page set up with 8 x 8 size paper? Will the pages be strong enough to support the weight?
@katiaeverett9965
Ай бұрын
You could definitely use this method for an 8x8 album. You could also add tyvek in between the pages if you wanted extra support.
Hello, are you using the same weight of card stock for the cover as you use for the pages?

I totally thought that I had! But just looked through my videos and couldn't find it. That album has since sold. I'm so sorry! I'll be more organized next time!
Why do you use a Tyvek envelope instead of tape.... love your work!
@mizzify
Жыл бұрын
Tyvek is much stronger than tape to be honest! The tape I use doesn't deteriorate or fade over time but a lot of tape fails in heat/cold. Tyvek makes the hinges super strong and resilient. Have you ever tried snapping off a hospital wristband? You can cut tyvek but you can't tear it. Tape you can tear and rip x
@terrytulipane6916
Жыл бұрын
@@mizzify Purchased some Tyvek since then to work with. It also helps the pages be more flexible and the journal to lay flatter.
Sorry, but one more thing, what if I don't have any 12"x12" cardstock to use at the start? It's just that I have limited space for stuff and limited income as well. Thanks for everything you do. Take care. Becky B

Hi Becky, you can use whatever size cardstock you happen to have. It doesn't have to be 12x12. The measurements for the pieces are written on the screen as the video plays through. Hugs.

Oh Man ! I do this all the bloody time! I get so frustrated with myself when I manage to cut a piece 1/2" short when I literally just measured it 30 seconds ago! But I find that I come up with some pretty creative ways to paper piece an area when I have no back up patterned paper to use!
Hello
Maybe simple for beginner but your material expensive
Very nice album, but, it is not for a beginner.

Honestly if you start making, pause, make a bit more, pause, make a bit more-trust me you can do it! You might need to watch it a couple of times but it'll make more sense as she's making it. It's not that technical either when you get into it and the page layouts are quite simple too! She's the easiest to follow that I've found so far x
