No. You might make a version with a 20 volt input and a 13 volt output, but at 20 amps the transistor will burn up. This sort of circuit CANNOT produce an output greater than the input, and for this particular version the input must be at least 7 volts more than the output to work reliably for the transistor specified.

This circuit isn't even a voltage regulator in any normal sense of the term. All it is is a voltage "follower." The output voltage will vary with varying input voltage and with varying load. It is more or less the equivalent of a an adjustable power resistor (rheostat).

Yes, absolutely you can use it to get your desired voltage.

It has a video where instead of installing a potentiometer, it is better to install a holl sensor and also reverse for a 72v 80A motor

No, no and no. Well, OK, maybe. You would need a much higher value (resistance and power) potentiometer, and a MUCH bigger heatsink. Bigger wires, too. Keep in mind that as built this circuit will not handle 60 A even at lower votage.

Its good to test an IGBT, but you cant transfer 5A or 10A! or the IGBT will burn after Overheating, specialy if you have 60V input and 12V output!!! 60-12=48V , 48V*10A= 480Watt that means you produce 480Watt Heat in a 290Watt IGBT, and the Consumer get just 12V*10A = 120Watt :D Use a PWM circuit as a driver for IGBT, Mosfet, SCR ...

Yep, you can use 60v transformer with bridge rectifier and (filtered rectified output dc) will go to this circuit to make voltage variable.

It drops SMOKE, as he had 60V input, thats going to be ~45v x 30a = 1350watts dissipated.

Si necesita solo 15V no lo debe alimentar con 60V porque la diferencia la tiene que absorber el IBJT que solo soporta 300W a 25°C. If you only need 15V, you should not power it with 60V because the difference has to be absorbed by the IBJT, which only supports 300W at 25°C.
