    Love this vid, the shutter speed was around 1/100 for some shots, would you recommend higher for freezing motions like jumps?

    Gosh...i've tried using yongnuo speedlights and I always get like a "graphic-y" kinda look. But these images look so true to life, crisp and sharp....I wonder if it's because of the broncolor light??

    Inspirational stuff! Surprised to see such slow shutter speeds for capturing motion. I've had trouble with motion blur even at 1/500 or 1/1000 with strobes, and had to really push ISO to do it. Any tips on how you made the slower shutter speed work for all these? Just timing?

    Perfect my man. Thank you. I haven't gone to the mark iv either. What's your thought on it please? I'm not seeing enough of a reason to warrant $3k. Also, I have the profoto B1's at 500ws. Are you finding you are needing the 800ws? I was torn between these two systems but went with profoto.

    Thanks my friend... The mark II still fulfills my needs ha, ha. For the Siros L lets say that if it had only 500ws I would be able to use it on 75% of my work but that's me. It all depends on the type of work you are doing. But the thing is, when I 'm outdoor battling my friend the sun, it's always nice to have that little extra room and not always work at full power. ;) But hey, the profotos are great !

    Great stuff! How much post production do you do to some of these photos? I'd love to see a vid of that process as I coach a wrestling team and am looking to give them some photos to get excited about. First venture coming up. I have a Rebel T5 and two Youngnuo 560IVs with 33" shoot-through umbrellas.

    Thanks for the comment... I never thought my retouching process woukd have anyone interested. Depending on picture it takes me 15 mins to 2h (roughly). Depending on clients needs, level of retouching and colour grading. Will seriously think about naking a video on that topic...

    got a question for you, why do you use two lights, the beauty box with grid and the softbox, and whats the purpose of the grid,

  • @Hkvisuals

    @Hkvisuals

    5 жыл бұрын

    One light is my main light, and will basically expose my subject, the 2nd light is used as a kicker light or accent light that will highlight/ outline the edges of my subject and will make it stand out from the background... The grid is generally used to narrow the beam of the light, you have more control to focus the light on your subject.

    hi when using flash, whats your usual power? does it look always dark after taking the photo and only the flash's light effect is there?even though its well lit in the room?

  • @Hkvisuals

    @Hkvisuals

    3 жыл бұрын

    Hard to answer that question... it depends on the situation, it is always different. If you want that dark contrasted look, start by under exposing your ambient and then expose correctly your model with the help of your flash!

    Cédric BARON ask any questions, at least photography related. I've achieved this look in the past with speedlights (canon's 600ex-rt with silver reflecting umberellas). Of course indoors, and at full power resulting a much slower recycling time. Don't know if the yongunos and the canons natch in terms of power though.

    It serves the dramatic vibe well. But i prefer to light the person differently so you can see every muscle and nothing is lost in the shadows...which is hard because the shadows tone the muscles. It´s a Compromise always.
