What kind of battery that you have to monitor from 0v to 14v? The low voltage of a 12v battery is around 11.5v and not 0volts. Where can we apply this kind of battery monitor?

for lead battery 0% is about 10 volts

The RED LED starts glowing at 1.68 volts, a typical lead acid battery is considered dead when its voltage drops to 11.9 volts, which means an almost dead battery is still able to light up four level of the LED in your circuit, thus making this setup is very impractical in real world applications.

This particular cascade will always be indicated 2.5V and above (depending on the LED type). You can have the first 3 LED as a control to connect to the battery (for example, 3 yellow LEDs) and other LEDs may indicate the color level. But it is better to use the original scheme - when taking it from the battery (eg inverter), the voltage may drop below 12V and visualize it in this LED cascade. If you want less LED brightness, you can use 2K instead of 1K - it doesn't move the range.

It is good to look at the characteristics. Red 2.1V, yellow 2.4V, green 2.6V, blue 3.5V, white 3.5V. This is decisive for assembling the indicator. But it's not critical. You can assemble colors by yourself.

Your idea is not correct, according to battery level percentage... it spouse to start from 10v low battery and 14.6 full battery.... not counting from 1v....it spouse to count from 10v

If the battery is good, it indicates the charge state, not the charger voltage. The condition is a direct connection to the battery terminals.

You can only connect two of the same series, such as Red, Red, Yellow, Yellow, Green, Green ... you can keep the resistors. The last two resistors may have 0.88k.
