Simone Cristicchi presents the “Quadro sonoro” at the MArTA in Taranto

Музыка

Simone Cristicchi returned today to the National Archaeological Museum (MArTA) in Taranto to present his latest masterpiece, the "Quadro Sonoro", inspired by the seventeenth and eighteenth century paintings of the Ricciardi Collection. His first visit, in October 2023, had already seen him emotional in front of the paintings, defining himself "like the groom before meeting the bride".
The project, conceived and registered by the ICO Magna Grecia and the MArTA, in collaboration with MIC, the Puglia Region and the Municipality of Taranto, continues to enhance the cultural heritage of the city. Cristicchi's "Quadro Sonoro" joins previous installations by Dario Marianelli and Achille Lauro, promoting a dialogue between music and visual art.
The official presentation of the work took place today, Tuesday 23 April, at 12.30pm, with an event at MArTA. Simone Cristicchi was accompanied by Stella Falzone, director of MArTA, and Piero Romano, director of the Magna Grecia Orchestra, to share with the public the magic of his "Sound Picture" and the art that inspired it.
