An exclusive behind the scenes interview with the legendary drummer and producer Simon Phillips (Toto) on creating the epic and intricate musical fantasy concept album 'Origin Of Species' with DarWin. A complex project that’s eschews the hollow immediacy of much contemporary art. A story that demands attention and imagination. With music sweeping in scope, at times evoking hard rock virtuoso shredding, alongside grand orchestral compositions, warm harmonies and soaring choruses.

Simon Phillips is great to listen to both as a drummer and when he explains how he approaches a project. And this project sounds very interesting.

Simon speaks with the same clarity of thought you hear in his drumming, inventive, articulate and easy to enjoy. Very few ums!

This project without a doubt has Simon Phillips at the top of his game, from both the performing and production side. This a stellar recording with everyone sounding fantastic. After hitting you in the face, it can be lush and beautiful. As one who has listened to many of the albums that Simon has produced this is his finest effort yet. This is a wonderful piece of work that will take you to another place, especially if listened to through good set of headphones, with your favorite adult beverage. Sit back close your eyes and forget about the world for 90 minutes. Enjoy!

I listen to this as I do Rush 2112. it's got that story vibe. Gummy Bear sounds to me like the parent talking to their exceptional child as just a child. this album freaks me out and I love it. period.

Very intersting talk once again. From what I hear on the music side, it makes me think about the Aina album, Days of raising doom, very good album, so I'm looking forward to hearing the DarWin one!
