Oliver Glasner is a top choice. He was successful in all his assignments. 👍🏻 From leading teams in the first league (LASK) and into Champions League (Wolfsburg) to the win of the UEFA Europa League (Frankfurt). And convinced by results and the way his teams played. He is hungry and highly motivated. Former problems with director of sports because of player recruiting and his eagerness to win should be less problematic within the English manager system. Congrats Crystal Palace.

I believe Glasner won UEL not UECL Simon.

As a football fan I think the chairman should took him out firing line a long time ago he a pensioner who we can all see is lost shame on cpfc back him or put him out his misery poor bloke looks unwell

We need a spurt of confidence at present, especially after Roy’s press statements recently; bringing in Glasnor seems to bringing the hope & confidence we need..

This does sound like a bit of gamble, especially if he is suspect under pressure; because he will be immediately under pressure, with the high possibility of an intense relegation battle. I don't think Palace will go down if they can get their injured players back, otherwise it will be a struggle.

Losing Olise before the season started, the subsequent mismanagement of his rehabilitation and Eze's injuries have been a big blow for us... But losing Doucoure for the season has hurt us defensively too! The club not replacing AWB, addressing the CM, LB and ST positions compounding the issues. But keeping Roy for another season damaged our progress the most.

If sacking Hodgson and replacing him with a new guy “won’t save Palace”, surely that implies that Palace currently are in need of saving, Simon? Roy will keep them up because of a combination of points deductions and awful promoted sides. He’s incredibly fortunate to still be in a job imho.

He was good enough for the national team, but Palace kicked him out twice. Good luck to them, but for me, Roy deserved to bow out at the end of the season after achieving premiership status yet again. They've gambled. He's now in hospital. It's all rather sad.

They're sinking like a brick. The old school of Moyes and Roy is starting to stick out like a sore thumb. Even when they've tasted success like Moyes with the conference cup, they can't seem to shake off that survivalist style of football.

We want to see our club progress, reappointing a 76 year old manager certainly isn’t going to take the club forward which is what our chairman said at the end of last season when he made his speech about ‘taking the club to the next level.’ It’s frustrating for fans to see so many missed opportunities we failed to capitalise on, instead we stood still and we keep going round in circles

​@chloefrancesca_ your club would only regress if relegated. Palace historically have never challenged the big boys. In the 90s and 2000s you spent more time in the 2nd tier than the premier league. If your talking about style of play, Palace have been down this road many times, hiring and firing at will over the years. I understand that you want better direction, and leadership of the club. But I don't see how Palace can ever be a top 10 team, especially now that competition is as high as ever.

@@TheGeneral_LUFC I agree. I don’t really understand the point of keeping him past last year when he completed his mission. Fair enough, they gave up on Vieira and needed a stop gap that was willing. But for all that time, they should of been interviewing new candidates and sounding out for long term rather than waiting a year. The players won’t say it, they never do, but it must be boring doing the same things over and over again in training and knowing he’s going to go before they do anyway. I think he’s a sound guy. Got offered it and believed he was good enough to do it (keep them up). It’s the clubs fault that’s all they aspired to though, not Roy’s.
