Lyrics:
And here's to you, Mrs. Robinson
Jesus loves you more than you will know
Whoa, whoa, whoa
God bless you, please, Mrs. Robinson
Heaven holds a place for those who pray
Hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey

Had a teacher in primary school called Mrs Robinson. The whole school (only about 100 kids) got together and sung this to her on her 50th birthday. I'll never forget that day.

I loved this song growing up in my life. I had a neighbour called Mrs Robinson. She had got over such Hardship in her life. Death of husband, being burgled, brought all her four kids up. And was chatty and alive. But, as it happens to all of us she died but at 94. I used to bake buns for her and take her a newspaper and buns or chocolate most weeks. Now the house is empty and on the market. Each time I go shopping I see the rack with newspapers in, see the treats I would have bought her so I cant put her out of my mind. I am in awe of her strength and her long life. Rest in peace you lovely old Lady. X x
Lyrics: And here's to you, Mrs. Robinson Jesus loves you more than you will know Whoa, whoa, whoa God bless you, please, Mrs. Robinson Heaven holds a place for those who pray Hey, hey, hey Hey, hey, hey We'd like to know a little bit about you for our files We'd like to help you learn to help yourself Look around you, all you see are sympathetic eyes Stroll around the grounds until you feel at home And here's to you, Mrs. Robinson Jesus loves you more than you will know Whoa, whoa, whoa God bless you, please, Mrs. Robinson Heaven holds a place for those who pray Hey, hey, hey Hey, hey, hey Hide it in a hiding place where no one ever goes Put it in your pantry with your cupcakes It's a little secret, just the Robinson's affair Most of all, you've got to hide it from the kids Coo, coo, ca-choo, Mrs. Robinson Jesus loves you more than you will know Whoa, whoa, whoa God bless you, please, Mrs. Robinson Heaven holds a place for those who pray Hey, hey, hey Hey, hey, hey Sitting on a sofa on a Sunday afternoon Going to the candidates debate Laugh about it, shout about it When you've got to choose Every way you look at this, you lose Where have you gone, Joe DiMaggio? I think he is saying it is special not because it was part of some major life moment, but rather because it was a constant part of a time in his life. Not an exciting time, but rather just there and part of it. it is my song
Finch and Stifler's Mom, oh the memories
LYRICS And here's to you, Mrs. Robinson Jesus loves you more than you will know Whoa, whoa, whoa God bless you, please, Mrs. Robinson Heaven holds a place for those who pray Hey, hey, hey Hey, hey, hey We'd like to know a little bit about you for our files We'd like to help you learn to help yourself Look around you all you see are sympathetic eyes Stroll around the grounds until you feel at home And here's to you, Mrs. Robinson Jesus loves you more than you will know Whoa, whoa, whoa God bless you, please, Mrs. Robinson Heaven holds a place for those who pray Hey, hey, hey Hey, hey, hey Hide it in the hiding place where no one ever goes Put it in your pantry with your cupcakes It's a little secret just the Robinson's affair Most of all you've got to hide it from the kids Koo-koo-ka-choo, Mrs. Robinson Jesus loves you more than you will know Whoa, whoa, whoa God bless you, please, Mrs. Robinson Heaven holds a place for those who pray Hey, hey, hey Hey, hey, hey Sitting on a sofa on a Sunday afternoon Going to the candidates' debate Laugh about it, shout about it When you've got to choose Every way you look at this you lose Where have you gone, Joe DiMaggio? Our nation turns its lonely eyes to you Woo, woo, woo What's that you say, Mrs. Robinson? Jolting Joe has left and gone away Hey, hey, hey Hey, hey, hey

"God bless you please, Mrs Robinson" is what I say when people sneeze.
The intro absolutely slaps especially with the guitar and vocals

My newborn was often tired & collicky. I'd play this song and the first guitar strums would grab her attention - she'd lull into a happy slumber. Every time. Magic.

Que época más bonita. Me encantaba. Simon & Garfunkel. Yo las he bailado. Muchas veces. Una época maravillosa gracias. Chicos
This song will remain a classic forever, Simon and Garfunkel are simply incredible! The Joe DiMaggio line hits hard though , I wasn’t alive to see him play but he represented what the US was all about in a time of uncertainty and hopelessness when heroes where in short supply…

Músicas que nos encantam...
I used to listen to an oldies station with my nana in the car before elementary school. This popped up many times. It’s now in my comfort playlist in college. She went in January of this year iirc. I miss her.
