I love Simon. And he's got a brilliant smile.

He just couldn't care less about fantasia and most people around him for sure. This man has lived, went up, went down, hit the floor, and now... better than ever. He's just so self-confident and self-sufficient, there'r probably a handful of people he really cares about... A whole british idol.

From what I saw and what I made out of the performance they were actually enjoying it. Fantasia's performance was amazing her voice was good her entertainment quality was good, better than some of the "average" performances that come from mainstream artists today.

simon represents the majority of what humans think of celebrities/famous ppl. he's just honest. i can't get on youtube and not find a mean comment on well-known ppl. they're constantly being judged so if you can't take simon's "harsh" comments, then you can handle the pressure of being in the spotlight b/c you WILL be judged by viewers.

Sometime the producers dub the cheering or use clips of the audience from previous performances. It happens on America's Got Talent, so it could possible happen on American Idol. I didn't see the performance myself, and if you liked it, good for you. Just don't rely on the audience for an opinion.

Well, there's something wrong with every country, I'd say, but I'm pretty pleased about where I'm living, yes (: I've been to Italy, Firenze and Roma, and enjoyed the attitude of the locals a lot. It's a lot more laid back thank it is in Holland, where we have a motto of "be normal, than you're already crazy enough" - which can be very refreshing sometimes but sometimes is also just annoying (:

The audience usually applaud for anything though. You never exactly hear booing on the show. The applaud whether something is good or not. And being different doesn't necessarily mean good.

I don't care what Simon says Fantasia rocked that performance it was one of the most entertaining in the history of Idol. The only reason he didn't like it was because it wasn't expected and he wanted predictable fantasia. She tried something different, so what the audience seemed to be loving it. As sucessful as he is Simon has been proven to be wrong in the past about artist e.g. Jennifer Hudson, Beyonce and I think Fantasia can now be added to that list.

Hi Heidi. I think you ask good questions and I'm not annoyed at all by them or think you're just trying to argue. Of course, every perception that a human has is based off of a generalization because we never have perfect knowledge or 100% truth. That's what science and other systems of knowledge are for. So it applies to people and groups of people no less than it does to everything in life. The danger is when people don't acknowledge the limitations of their own perceptions.
