I remember that map (puzzle cube, I think?) which actively prevented cheating. They literally went to more effort trying to cheat past a mildly difficult part than they would have just doing it properly, and ended up hardlocking themselves out of completing the map in the process.

Bruh Lewis trying to unfuck the lava mistake he made in silence was gold. Such a pure yogscast moment.

@@ryankunst668 because that is how it has been done for the past decade. Always assume that the singular bit of carpet either has a slime block or a hopper under it, or even scaffolding or powdered snow in the newer versions

Yeah, they are always ignoring the 'be in adventure mode that way you are only able to break things intended to be broken by the tool intended to break it' Instead they always are wondering why they can´t get through these maps withouth cheating...

I love that when Lewis makes a hole in the ceiling that causes lava to flow in, he decides to clean up the lava instead of, y'know, patching the hole in the ceiling.

Been rewatching all the old adventure maps from like 2012, and some bits in this really feel the same. The utter incompetence in unfamiliarity with minecrafts mechanics, like the hopper under the carpet and not realizing they should be in adventure mode, and trying to cheat and instead breaking the map in the process. Timeless. Never change yogs, never change.

What happened? Did I accidentally teleport 12 years into the past during my old-man-naps-after-work-nap?

How do they keep managing to be in the wrong gamemode? Professionals at work. I hope we can see them play an actual bargain basement map, where things are just randomly broken, missing or don't work.

I miss their old, classic adventure map episodes. But having these escape room style episodes with larger groups is still fun to watch.

For 13 years, I've been watching you guys, and I just wanted to say, keep up the amazing work! You've been a fantastic source of cheer during some tough times, and I can't thank you enough! I always love to see Simon and Lewis together as of recently again!!

Lewis manages to randomly find the exit without knowing he did and block it off, then tells Simon wrong way, is one of the many reasons the Yogscast are a cut above. Part of me wishes he didnt own up to it lmao

"I didn't know I had to break the carpet" Actually, you can submit the paper through the carpet into the hopper. Yeah, I know. Minecraft physics. But you were just supposed to submit the paper to the carpet and Minecraft lets that work somehow.

Part of the charm these videos always have is that... everything somehow manages to be just about as scuffed as physically possible. Whether the map or you guys, something goes wrong and it just keeps finding a new way to get worse in a funnier way that wouldn't happen if one of the two was missing.

If Lewis hasn't learned how fluid mechanics in Minecraft work by now, then he never will.

I can't believe Lewis just kept making it worse, I really thought he would be able to fix it at some point 😂 Also, *very important:* In adventure maps, mapmakers can *create specific items with specific tags.* This means that they can write for an item *on which block it can be used.* You can see it when you hover over the block or item that you're holding. Also, *not being in adventure mode* makes this *harder,* since then the item or block can be placed on anything, rather than on the specified block. That's how you mess up the puzzles and can break unintended blocks.

They really couldn't have managed to put themselves in adventure mode 😭 bless them thats the yogscast guarantee

Dear lord, the extend of not being able to play this challenge map by being in the wrong gamemode, constantly misinterpreting things and also not knowing how to play minecraft is insane xD I have always loved Yogs since the old labs days and modpack series, but i got to say this really does show why it has been so long since they played minecraft again xD

The best thing to do for a jellyfish sting is to wash the area in seawater since the jellyfishes stingers are naturally in their dormant state when in seawater. Pee actually makes the stingers release more venom.
