Excellent review.👍 I have both pistols as well, they are similar enough in size that the Reflex can be used with the Kydex holster for the Hellcat that I have. The Reflex has taken over as my EDC, in fact I like this pistol so much I bought 3. Originally could not find an MRD, so I bought a non optics first. Then I got both the FDE & black MRD versions. For me, the hammer fired trigger just works better than a striker fired trigger. I absolutely love these pistols and the main one I carry I have gotten around 500 rounds through it with no issues. The one I've had the longest easily has 750 through it and I only had issues on the first range trip, and I put 300 through it. I did not clean it out of the box, I took it down and thought it looked clean, but bone dry. So I lubed it and went to the range. After about 150 to 200 rounds, I started having failure to return to battery on several occasions and had to bump the back of the slide. When I got home gave it a good cleaning and not a single issue since. The other two I cleaned before the range & they have never had a failure. So maybe there was some packing grease or something I missed.🤷‍♂

@@AAA22323 I do carry it daily, and I have not had any issues. But I am not the most abusive out there. I don't get into many dirty situations any more. In fact, going to the range is probably the dirtiest I get, and the dirtiest the gun gets.🤷‍♂ The one I carry definitely gets the most range time, no sense wearing out all 3. But other than 300 to 400 down range in a month, it doesn't get that dirty from carrying.

The FN Reflex Grip and trigger pull is what sold me…btw, I added a hogue sleeve and “oh boy” what a grip….

  • @planofman8599

To add to what the other person said, the Diamondback DB9 is smaller and much cheaper. However, the owner of that particular pistol said it needed to be cleaned weekly in order to be reliable. Generally, when comparing firearms of similar size and performance, price is dictated by a number of factors, one of which is quality. Say what you will about the Hellcat, HS Produkt manufacturers every part of all their firearms in one place. That gives them complete control of quality. They also have a lifetime warranty on the pistols, and it follows the pistol to second-hand owners. I know Taurus has a similar lifetime warranty. Maybe you would suggest the Mossberg, which many other reviewers mention 'rattles like a maraca," and that is not the most reassuring thing to hear.
