    Mam in answer B matrix equals to you have wrote the element of A21 as 3 but in question it is 8 .

    If you are not getting any non singular matrix 'P' then the given matrix (A and B) will not be considered as similar

    @@prachi_ yeahh In my book they just consider any Matrix P and then find the inverse of that matrix (P) And idk how both matrix (A & B) are similar!!!

    Actually you misunderstood the things . Look 'P' will not be given to us in order to find whether the matrix are similar are not. It's our job to find , if there exist any such matrix 'P' .

    @@prachi_ I think so Question is Let A=[ 1 2] & B=[-4 9] [ -1 1] [-3 6] Prove that A & B are similar matrices Edited:- In solution They consider P = [-1 1] [1 -2] . . . After solving this 👆 A & B is similar matrices
