I always look up songs from games I played many years ago, it brings back the nostalgia right in your face, sometimes it's so bad you just wanna cry because of the fact that everything was better back in the day :')

SAME HERE! I'm listening to music from games I played in my childhood, and everyone thinks that's weird! Thank goodness someone else thinks like me! People never really think that the music is actually really good, and it sometimes just brings tears to my eyes.

Those memories are false dreams. they promise a better life, yet more often than not, we don't admit to ourselves that if we returned to that time right now....we'd be bored and frustrated by the restrictions. Going back to being an 8 year old in 2001 might seem cool but.....

I remember playing SC4 one day...It was the year 2050. Then I destroyed the city with meteors and aliens and volcanos and earthquakes and more meteors... I turned the speed on "3x fast" until it got to the year 3000. Until then, I raised the land to its maximum, then carved out a huge, mile deep canyon. I kept sending meteors down. Then this song played, and tears nearly came to my eyes- I was like "Jesus Christ... I'm dead...Mom's dead..Dad's dead...Everyone's dead..."

I can't find words to describe this track. Every time I hear it, I feel like rising off the ground and floating in zero gravity, seeing myself in clear blue sky or under crystal clear blue water with massive single bubbles and dolphins. This song takes you to a whole new world!!

I played this game when i was 5 or 6 like 600 hours and im 16 right now. Idk why but the songs you listened when you were a child sticks in your mind forever. I grew up with nfs underground and with this masterpiece. :')

Got to love the bit at 02:24 sounds so powerful. I would love to go to the moon and look back at the earth listening to this track. An astronaut once said, "we went out to discover the moon but we discovered the earth"

One of the first songs I’ve heard when I played this game for the first time. I knew I was in for a treat, god I miss Maxis.

I bought my first version of SC4 in 2003,....then a newer version in 2014. I play it on my Mac. In 2003, I played for days on end,....after recovering from a heart attack. The music is still stuck in my brain. I'm 68, and I still play the game,...I was 50 in 2003. My background is in the Arts, & sculpture.

Damn I looped this music so many times... 02:23 that moment still gives me chills ! the first time I launched this game I had this music and I have never had anymore such that feeling of being a god with full power on absolutely everything ! I miss sim city

This is what you hear when you reach inner peace. Seriously this is music one can and should meditate too. I feel a very relaxed

Honestly, I never would have connected this music to SimCity just because of how godly it is, no pun intended. Whenever I'm deep in thought, reminiscing about the past, thinking about the future, the way things are, the way things were, trying to find truth from fiction. This song feels like that.

This song might sound like Above the Clouds at the beginning, but it gets so much better as you progress. I wish I had realized how good this song was sooner.

I made a music mix of some of the Simcity musics and a couple of others and ate magic mushrooms. Overall the trip wasn't too good but during this song particulary went deep and felt so peaceful. In particular at the mid section when the sound goes so low and deep I really, well sorry, can't find words to explain...

Despite home PC's being slower and harder to work around in the 90s there were lots more to do especially offline. You weren't tied or forced to be tied. Now it's my way or hit the highway. Pretty much setting up of the one world chip system. Hey that sounds like the beast system 666.

Am I the only one who think the God mode soundtrack sounds a little bit like Mass Effect soundtrack? I'm even planning to add some of the Mass Effect soundtrack to Sim City 4 when the CD I ordered arrive!

Ironically, a remixed bit of this track was used in the background of ME2.

I'd love to play cities skylines, but it crashes my computer to a blue screen. Based on the comments, the alternative is just as good if not better.
