    Very interesting! Not sure about onair or flight sim economy, but I use air hauler 2 for most of my flights and it will give you a final px weight and thier luggage weight and its always slightly random.. what you have to be careful of is what the actual airplane in the sim uses.. for example toliss sets its px weight at a whopping 220lbs per px.. so thats what I set simbrief as, than I have to divide my final weights into a number to load into the plane. So AH2 says I'm taking 156 px but i have to only load say 138 into the plane so the weights match lol. The FFA350 is even worse, I think how they do loading is super sketch.. its trial and error just to get the weights to match.

    I seriously hate those addons that use such high weights. It's a relict from the past where everyone was allowed to take a 23kg bad with them for free. But when did airlines change that, like 20 years ago? Nowadays you only get to take such a bag along in the more expensive fares and thus calculations had to be adapted so that the bag weight is no longer taken into account in the passenger weight but accounted for seperately.

    Normally I'd agree, but simbrief seems to use the data from this field for the VATSIM prefile. So entering the 24 bit adress would not do any good there.

    Very very helpful! I was fiddling around a little to find the right weights but always end up about a ton heavier than what simbrief calculated, when I enter the number of Pax and the cargo from my flightplan. So what I would like to know is with which numbers is PMDG calculating? Or is my whole thinking wrong here?

    I have 2 planes in my Virtual Airlines. I would like to have for each the maintance status separated. How can I do? Because if I use the same livery it automatically take status of the code associated with that plane.

  • @A330Driver

    @A330Driver

    You'd need two liveries for it. PMDG treats the same livery as one aircraft.

    @@A330Driver I found how to: on MSFS menu, after choosing the livery, it is possible to customize the Tail Number. PMDG creates a new record for that tail number. Leaving it blank you get back the status of the original number. If you type exactly the same tail number again you get once again the status associated with that tail number.

    From which config did you pull those values? If I'm checking aircraft.cfg for the "base aircraft" (so not the liveries) I'm only finding a performance line where empty weight is 41.412 kg and maximum gross weight (I assume MTOW?) is 79.333. Do I have to check elsewhere or did those values change by any chance?

    I got them from the same place. Maybe they changed during the course of the beta as I got them from an early version. That might explain why I always end up 300kg heavier than my profile as well.

    Hello, After I build a route using simbrief, I am downloading it from SimBrief downloader, but if I do so after the PMDG 737 800 is in the parking cold and dark, when I trieng to import the flight plan from simbrief to the FMC I've got the routes in gray and un available to choose them. However if I do the same procedure but BEFORE starting an aircraft PMDG and put it in a parking position, everything is good. Do you know how to correct it, to let me import a fliht plan from simbrief while standing in the parking? Thank you

    That mic sounds terrible (I mean all of those awful high frequency harmonics), it's just simply unbearable to listen to. It just ruins such helpful tutorials. Still don't want to change it? My guess is that any mic over $30 will sound way better

Trying to figure this out since a small amount of people is reporting those mic issues, but it just doens't sound that bad at all on my computer.
