away! Here is some information on the Bombay cat breed that we have gathered for you: The Bombay is calm, gentle and affectionate. This solid, medium-size cat was created in the 1950s by crossing sable Burmese with black American Shorthairs. The Bombay is an easygoing and tolerant cat breed. As a breed, Bombays generally are even-tempered, gentle, outgoing, fun-loving and playful. Bombays are highly intelligent and unusually affectionate. This small but strong kitty earns its standing as one the favorite pets to have as a pet-it is intelligent, beautiful, and boasts a loving demeanor. They tend to get along well with other cats and animals. Bombays are often referred to by the nickname “parlor panthers” because they were specifically bred to resemble tiny black panthers. Not only do they look like panthers, they sound similar too. They may be mini, but their distinctive purr is, at times, loud enough to hear clear across the room. The Bombay, named for the exotic port city of India, has no connection with the city or country. It was created from crosses between sable Burmese and black American Shorthairs to resemble a black panther. The Cat Fanciers Association gave the Bombay full recognition in 1978. With a shiny coat and rounded body, the Bombay cat is an all-round beauty

Albany, NY Adoption Fees (cash or check) are $100.00 for kittens and cats up to age one. Cats age two to six are $85.00 and cats age seven and older are included in our "Seniors Need Love Adoption Program" and the fee is reduced to only $50.00. All cats have been spayed or neutered and have their needed shots-they are just waiting for YOU to adopt them and give a loving Forever Home. Noah's Kingdom Humane Society is an all VOLUNTEER, not for profit organization dedicated to animal rescue, adoption and ending animal overpopulation.
