Still not super happy how Kirby has no unique dialogue though considering that there is a track in this mod that is literally from a Kirby game.

I'm glad you liked the second half of the fight, but sometimes I still feel like I overdid it 😔

7:25 Whatever lives you have before going into Mindscape don't matter, as you're given a separate set of three lives to complete the level. If you run out, you're kicked out of Mindscape instead of getting a game over, but you have to start a new save file to try again.

That's incorrect, actually. You can replay Mindscape as many times as you need if you reach the end of a level with at least 50 rings

Keep in mind that Mindscape forces you to have 3 lives EXCLUSIVELY for that stage. If you get a game over in it, you are simply kicked back to the next stage in the main story (example: Greenflower Act 2), with the life count you had as of beating the previous main stage (example: Greenflower Act 1 being beat with 99 lives). Other characters have also been given unique conversations (like Cacee roasting the hell out of Facciolo). Keep in mind you will have to use "map [ry/mapry] -force" and do it in the pause menu so you don't get kicked out. Inazuma's cutscene will still play, but you can skip it by holding the spin button. Many different dialogues are possible, with some defaulting to a certain line if the character was not given a unique dialogue (like AIR Eevee). Speaking of, can you do a quick review of the AIR Eevee mod? You might wanna fire up Sonic 3 Angel Island Revisited for comparison as that was AIR Eevee's origin (namely as a reskin of Sonic and Knuckles, becoming his own character instead of a reskin in the SRB2 mod. Both mods, specifically the SRB2 AIR Eevee mod and the Eevee 3 & Knuckles mod for S3 AIR, are made by ProfessorEevee).

I mean. Once you get to the boss there is a life to farm infinitely. And 3 lifes are only there for the platforming part

fact: if you go into a super state during the facciolo fight, pardon my hat in time but HE TAKES IT THE PECK AWAY BECAUSE HES ANNOYING AS PECK

I'm glad you enjoyed the mod 😊 I'd have to agree with you on Facciollo phase one, its annoying as hell when you play it as Ina. I wish the creator kept that mechanic where you could junp after being hurt because it would've made the fight so much bearable...

A few tips for the first phase: Facciolo's light pillars can be avoided using bolt stream to move around them, since bolt stream can be used to change direction quickly, and using bolt stream to get behind him diminishes the risk of being hit by a lightning ball. Additionally, if you don't immediately lock-on to an orb, use bolt stream or lightning barrier as soon as possible to return to the arena.

By the way, if you use commands to get to mindscape with a character which cannot get to it normally, the mod gives you a ton of unique dialogues and portraits, depending on the character.

I once looked at doing them soon after they released, but I simply couldn't vibe with them and decided against it as I didn't think the review would be worth anything. Maybe I'll come back to them one day though!

i think on the first phase of the boss in order to hit him easier you just gotta go slower in the air, you seemt to be going way too fast, which is why you kept missing the homing attack

if you want a char that can easily defeat the two phases of facciolo just play samus with buddy ex so you can use inazuma for mindscape

I just use Pandora's Box, which you unlock for collecting every Emblem in the game. I didn't, I just opened my account to find it one day, but it's very useful.

I found Aether's spells either too slow or too inaccurate to be reliable for dealing damage quickly. Meanwhile, Inazuma's speed and agility made it easy to control the distance between him and Moonreaver so I didn't have much trouble avoiding his attacks. But in terms of controls, Aether is definitely the easier (and simpler) of the two, which is why you found the boss more tolerable playing as her.

@emperortoehoe This is indeed the reason I haven't and likely will never review SMS - I've heard horror stories about how he plays on controller, and I don't feel like I could give a reasoned and well balanced review with that in mind.
