I love this song so many people have the meaning of it all wrong it's not about love it's about loseing touch with yourself and everyone around you and love and every emotion fades till your just alone and in pain everyday of your life just like me this song means alot to me and i miss the ability to feel or even notice who i am anymore because this song explain how i am spot on Thank you Daniel for your words.

A friend introduced me to this song, and I instantly fell in love with both the music and the person who shared it with me. Though it was in 2017, the memories of that moment still linger in my mind. Even though we didn't end up together, the nostalgia persists in 2024 😊😊

This song reminds me of my first love. We lost our virginities to each other and were both big Silverchair fans. We lived in different cities so it was hard for us as teenagers and it only lasted 9 months. We still have fond memories, are friends, and respect how pure and innocent our relationship was. It was before we realized what love does to a person when they are with the wrong person... before we lost our "innocence" from being an adult.

Oooh man, 1:52 was always when I cranked up the volume on my clunky "portable" cd player and rocked out big time... I can picture it now, 2001, the bell rings on another day in 7th grade and the walk from my locker to the bus (the best walk there is).. it's about someone that you played around used etc. but ended up loving him/her at the end but they just realized they don't need you anymore and when you realized you need them at the end but it's already too late so you have no choice but give them no respect but deep inside you miss him/her so much. . liveng in a bitter secretive life sad. .

Think it's about the industry and his changing relationship with music. He loves how the fans love him But hates the way he is supposed to love them back, ie: make the same type of watered down music over and over to please them and get radio play.

Im sitting on a bench in a park I haven't been to in 18 years I use to skate here back in 2000 when I was 18 with my buddies now I'm 36 and Lisening to this song in a park I use to be a kid in brings back so many memories and nostalgia it brings a tear to my eye I'd give anything to go back to those days life goes by quick enjoy your young years kids rocked to this song sense 2000 and still am in 2019.

Very sad song about a kid realizing what it takes to be successful in the music industry and ultimately feeling unenthused and alone while touring and trying to create music he wants to make as opposed to the 'hits' the label want him to pump out. Always strikes me as a cry for help when I hear it. Very powerful song..
