Gorillas are simply magnificent animals. I love their sensitivity. They have such a noble look about them.

At first, I thought that D'jeeco was the most playful dad. But, after seeing so many videos of Shabani playing with his children at all ages, I feel so good. Shabani is not only as handsome as Ai is beautiful, but, he truly does love his family. Bonus, the young man even takes showers, lol!❤😂

I have often heard it said by people " oh look they are doing human things " But the truth is Gorillas are not like us but we are like them , human communication is about 85% body language and this goes for all primates. Whenever you scratch your head when puzzled or frustrated that's pure monkey.

It is a zoo, not a rescue and rehabilitation centre. They were most probably born in captivity.

They are so precious they should be allowed to live their birthright in freedom amongst their own kind not imprisoned in zoos for profit and misguided and uninformed humans that consider this entertainment. This is not heartwarming. This is heartbreaking.

@@ChooseCompassion Pls get informed. These as many wild animals are being killed by proachers, trophy hunters, straving from lack of habitat. Mankind is destroying nature. State regulated zoos & sanctuaries are saving these species. Many zoos have breeding programs. The regulated state licensed zoos have large natural terrain for the animals. Thank God we have places that help our dimishing wild life. Pls visit a zoo, or sanctuary that adheres to laws. The animals are with their own kind. Well cared for. Not sure where you're getting your info. Don't confuse licensed facilities with the roadside, or small personal places Those are cruel. And against many state laws.

But, a knowledgeable and professional zoo with trained caretakers that has enough room for a gorilla family or families can be a more safe, compassionate, and caring environment than the big bad open world of the most voracious killers on earth - humans. Gorillas are endangered and must be protected from poachers who kill the gorillas in order to sell body parts (like hands for ashtrays) to collectors or sell the babies to people who keep them in their private "zoos" for their amusement. Due to current conditions, people now live in the same areas as the gorillas. People need to eat and so they deforest the land to plant food crops for themselves which removes the food source for the gorillas. People have families to feed, clothes, and house and those needs have led people to kill gorillas for their family to consume or to sell the butchered gorilla parts as bush meat. Until the ever-increasing numbers of people can find a way to live in the same area in harmony with gorillas AND other animals, zoos and no-kill reserves (some have established a tourist opportunity) will be required in order to preserve the existence of these magnificent beings.

To the Videographer: It seems Shabani recognizes you - and likes you!!! 🥰 That gentle tap on the glass was a form of acknowledgment rather than a sign of irritation or a warning. I’m quite impressed, because it seems Shabani isn’t very fond us humans, as he usually keeps his distance and encourages the troop to do the same. You must be doing a wonderful job there at the zoo for the world-famous Shabani to have accepted your presence!!! Congratulations 😊

Oh how wonderful, you got a reaction from him. He is so caring. It was amazing when he tried to go inside but realized Annie was still outside and he couldn't leave her out there by herself. I don't know if I'm interpreting his behavior correctly but it looked like he ran to protect Nene when the thunder rumbled around 2:56 She looked so scared. Either way, I definitely agree with your comment.
