Old Nene jumps at any chance to give Shabani a hard time

Dear channel, I wanted to thank you so much for your efforts to record this family almost every day for us. I appreciate you so much and your videos always make my day better.

Poor Shabani.. Maybe. SHABANI NEEDS NEW TROOP. Put Nene, AI and Annie somewhere to live out Nene's life. Give Shabani some new ladies. AI is never going to do anything with Shabani.

These animals have strong binds you can't just rip them apart because they aren't mating. Kiyo and Annie will be moved eventually but there is no reason to move anyone else Shabani and AI mated before, that's how Annie came up. Her reaction is likely due to being on birth control The easiest way would be to introduce a new female but there are none in Japan at the moment so i guess Shabani needs to buy AI some flowers and see what happens

@@eddiemaiden2664 I know for a fact that when Zoos have problems with their primates, not mating that they will rotate other ones in. No different than in nature really. I’ve never been a fan of AI, in nature she probably would’ve left a long time ago

Female gorillas have to be in Estrus in order to have the urge to mate. They have Ai on birth control which stops that so she doesn’t get the desire to mate. It would not matter which female they brought to the zoo it would be the same scenario. Ai wasn’t a natural mother to Annie.. likely because she was so young. Annie had to be raised by humans which they try and avoid. They may be giving her some time to mature or maybe they don’t want to risk her giving birth and not accepting another baby. I don’t know but they are a close family. There is no guarantee that they would even accept a new gorilla. Everything is going to be ok. I think they are doing great

Gros problème je trouve pour le beau shabani 😢.ai na nullement envie de shabani ni d enfants . Es par rapport a néné ou tout simplement pas envie de shabani 😢. Etant donné qu au Japon ou d autres pays le problème est le manque de femelles c bien triste pour un specimen comme shabani ou tt autre dos argenté. je vois d jeeco et ses femelles je me dis toujours la chance qu il a ...tayari une de ces femelles est raide dingue de d jeeco tjr collé a lui . C magnifique a regarder ❤ shabani momotaro n ont pas cette chance 😢😢

Shabani is just doing what males do to “impress” his females but AI doesn’t take it as such . I feel she takes it as fear and attacks when to him it’s the opposite . 😢 poor babies I don’t think Shabani knows how to be gentle but it’s not on purpose he just doing what he knows . Breaks my heart for all of them . Cause they’re such an amazing troop .

@@user-yf9vd7nq2yI don’t really think she wants babies with Kiyomasa but I do think they don’t respect him as they should. He is very nice and playful. That’s good but he has a family of very strong assertive personalities. They all want to be in charge.

Yes Shabani is a nice gorilla and blah blah but he isn’t a pushover at all and yes the troop respect him when he takes an attitude as i saw him personally for 3 days and i saw the troop respect him all the time . And Ai must be on the pills and Nene is too old to mate , a problem created by the zoo and doesn’t have nothing to do with Shabani.

@@justbreathe_, i saw with my own eyes on 3 days i was watching the troop and everyone of them respected him. Annie respected him very much, nene is afraid of him as also Kiyo when he’s disciplined and maybe the problem was and is Nene all the time and she should be sent to an old gorillas place.

Ai is resisting due to respect towards her mother... Nene was the top female. I believe AI was the 1st, but she stepped aside and let her mom have the role after she lost her son😢 I have always thought of Ai being the other way, and yes research has proven that theory.

They put the females on birth control so the zoo can control how many babies are born. (Not to mention AI isn't very maternal) They don't have unlimited space and moving animals around to other zoos isn't an easy feat. As well as being costly. Look at Momotaro and his family. Gentaro is 12 and needs his own space with a female (I heard Annie is a possibility). Also Momotaro could use another female, no offense to precious Genki but she's getting old.

Почему-то все считают, что бедный - Шабани, что он такой хороший и красивый, а его не любят, но это взгляд человека. А может, наоборот, бедные - самки, которые вынуждены терпеть его приставания. Они его может не любят или никогда не любили. В дикой природе самки могут менять мужей по несколько раз в течение жизни, у них есть право выбора. Влюбляются, оставляют подросших детей на своих отцов и уходят к другому самцу. Самец же никогда не уходит из своей группы и принимает всех желающих жить с ним самок. Бедные гориллы - закрыли их в тюрьму без права выбора. Одно мучение.

Your comment is your opinion and I respect that. I’m always surprised (but maybe I shouldn’t be) how easily we apply human emotions to animals, in this case, gorillas. No doubt animals have emotions, but they are not necessarily expressed the same way that human emotions are. In particular, I don’t think gorillas “fall in love” like humans do. Nor do they “marry” and become “husband” and “wives”. Gorillas seem to act on instinct, which means they mate and have babies to perpetuate the species. Of course, both the male and female have to be willing participants. Sadly, that is not the case at this zoo. In my opinion, Ai is not interested in mating with Shabani or having another baby. I believe she would still be this way even if Nene was out of the picture. To me, the only solution is to find another female for Shabani who would be a willing partner. These are my thoughts only…others may feel differently, which is totally fine.

Гориллы - человекообразные. У них такие же чувства, как и у человека. Понятие «муж» и «жена» к ним тоже применимо, только на более примитивном уровне. Они живут по правилам гарема: есть любимая самка и все остальные. Они влюбляются, ссорятся, мирятся. Некоторые особи в зоопарках не могут ужиться вместе, в этом случае их приходится расселять. Были случаи убийства. Самка - Генки из зоопарка Киото, когда ею перестал интересоваться самец ( она жила в другом зоопарке) стала заниматься членовредительством- грызла свои пальцы и очень похудела. Ее вынуждены были отправить в Киото. Разве это не говорит о чувствах. Они очень похожи на нас. У них отсутствует речевой аппарат, в связи с чем они не могут выражать свои мысли вслух. Все считают Шабани исключительным и хорошим, но его самки могут его не любить и не уважать, что они часто демонстрируют. Я и написала, что мы рассматриваем эту проблему со своей человеческой точки зрения. Шабани нам кажется красивым, хорошим и забавным и нам непонятно, почему Ай его игнорирует. А ей все понятно.
