Gorillas have a digestive system that is more suited to living off of plant matter than humans do, and a large gorilla like this one still has to spend half the day eating plants and consuming like 50-70 lbs of it per day. If gorillas had an energy expensive brain like humans they would have to consume even more pounds of plants. So it's hardly an inspiration to go vegan or something, if that's what you or anyone else is thinking watching this.

they eat plenty of protein! Leafy greens are very high in protein, plus it doesn't raise your risk of cancer or heart disease

Plants have protein. Additional, gorillas are omnivores, so they're not entirely plant-based diets.

How disrespectful to go and sit in his habitat and make all that noise. Why not shut up and take in the amazing sight so few humans every witness in person. We are losing these creatures like so many others.
