Silverado Off Road 5 Mile Pass

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Finally made a video of what the Silverado can do off-road!!! We went to 5 Mile Pass outside Lehi Utah. The Rattlesnake trail was a great trail to show probably the most challenge I would want to do with how the truck is now. Definitely will be going back to that area!

As a Jeep guy I give you 👍👍! It takes guts to run a full sized rig on rocks. Great job navigating the trail!!!

Awesome man. Lots of good stuff to find. Gotta look more in the Baja realm to find stuff for the Silverados but it's out there. More videos coming soon. Kinda got delayed with my first kid being born!

@@aspiringadventure thanks for the Baja tip. I'm definitely leaning towards Overlanding as my son is 7 and I want to take him camping. Congrats on your first! First year is rough but it goes by fast. Cherish it, take lost of pics/vids and have a memory jar to jot down little memories that standout. You guys can look back on when they're 7 and it'll make you happy on a rough day 😁 take care and God bless.

That is a 3 all day long! I've gone up that trail in multiple stock trucks from a 76 ford manual trans to a 2wd broken tcase motor 94 explorer that was bone stock without body damage! It's in the driving technique how you can accomplish trails not in how much your rig is built to a certain extent of the obstacles in front of you! I've gone on trails and damaged the crap out of my rig that were super easy not paying attention doing dumb stuff also! It's all in how you drive! You can make a vehicle do things that would amaze you if you take the correct line!!!! How do you think the pioneers crossed this country with no wheel drive and horses before we ever thought of making them fun trails to play on! They did it to survive lol!!!! We just goof off and have fun destroying things trying to get to the top! My 2011 gmc rides like garbage tho im surprised your truck does so well because mine doesn't want to flex or ride worth a crap in the dirt I need to go thru the front end and find out what's worn out and binding

I have a JKU with a 4” lift running 35 MT’s and I wheel in the trails at 5 Mile all the time. And every time we go up Rattlesnake Trail, I always say to myself “I hope it doesn’t get any harder” Pretty impressive to see a big full-size truck charging this. It’s definitely not an easy trail.

Thanks. It was all pretty doable except the part right before where the thumbnail pic was taken. I had to scrap my bumper into the ledge to make the turn by that big boulder and the side of the hill. Any longer wheelbase I would have been screwed.

Yes. I have loved this bumper. It save me some damaged on this trail too. Full size trucks are a touch long for this trail in one spot so it help me scrap by.

If u go up the rattlesnake trail with stock suspension you will have some really tight spots. There are plenty of easier routes though. So just be careful with the boulders and your rocker panels.

@@aspiringadventure Because I wanted to see who gets stuck or whose shit breaks. But also, thinking of getting a 4 inch lift and even though I'm never thinking of doing that... it's good to know the truck can handle it.... ONLY if I have no other roads and it's an emergency.... I personally don't have the money to take a 30-60K vehicle and try to push it to it's breaking point..... Now if you had a cheaper second hand vehicle that can be afforded a sacrifice...YES, play and have fun!! Thanks for your sacrifices... I get it... it's about getting views for $$$... Be safe.
