I genuinely believe Silver took it and I only see one other user whose comment implied the same opinion as mine. You can tell how defensive I get and how difficult it is for me to stay adamant when I see so many users with a different opinion from me.

“you don’t do damage” Silver didn’t just have that; go listen to most of his other lines of both of his verses; he definitely didn’t “do no damage”. Edit: Furthermore, James “Jimmy” Hopkins has lines that are flawed (at least to me); such examples include his eighth line of his first verse, which contradicts with his sixth even if both are good disses and when he said “Besides, you should know what happens to the weakest pick” a verse later when in reality, Silver picks the starter with the type advantage against the player’s (granted, you could disagree with me with how that line was worded, but I think he gets a point off from that line).

@@MatPgame67​​⁠I mean, I’m kind of siding with Silver in this battle, especially since James “Jimmy” Hopkins had lines with flaws (to me) in them. Also, the line about Jimmy’s relationship with his parents hits harder than the “‘no’ between ‘Godfather’” line (to me, though they were both good disses).

AMOGUS SEARCHING! 0:33 on the paper 0:58 on top of the ship 1:21 in the picture frame 1:32 i think in the tree on the top right? hard to tell, but it's kinda the right shape 2:20 next to the bush on the far left (this one was freakin hard to spot) fun battle, love the beat, performances go off, and amazing visuals as always!

@@Lonk2976 I’m asking if there is any sort of reasoning for why they thought James “Jimmy” Hopkins won that has nothing to do with others saying so. I usually think it makes more sense to support an opinion with objective information, and one shouldn’t simply say “this character won because others say so”. I can let others have their opinions, but when I see a bunch of people have a different opinion from me, then I get extremely defensive, primarily to stay adamant and to show others that my opinion can be backed up. In this case, the comment section is full of people who went for Jimmy, and prior to me bringing up who I thought won, it appeared only one other person explicitly mention they thought Silver won. This is different from when a comment section has only one person or two people who mention a winner, where’d I feel less defensive. All in all, I can let others have their opinions, but if they can do better than saying something weak to support it, then I get upset.

@@angelicwarrior118 The original comment never even said that he thought Jimmy won just because other people did, just that he agreed with the people who thought Jimmy won. Nobody needs a complex or intricate reason as to why they think someone won. I also think Jimmy won. Why? His verses just vibed with me more, and that's all the reason I need. It's just a rap battle, and you're taking it way too seriously by pestering random people when the whole thing is subjective. You can have an unpopular opinion. Literally no one cares, they're just fun rap battles and you don't have to take it so seriously

@@Lonk2976 then I apologize. I kind of assumed that OP was influenced by others to go for Jimmy without realizing the actual wording of their comment. Considering how I was fine with user DJBalloonz siding with Santa for who won Santa vs. Satan because Santa’s verses, to them, had more personality, then you have a reason for your opinion. I almost always bring up intricate reasoning to back up my rap battle winner opinions, but not everyone will. That is completely fine. It’s okay to disagree on things, even if you would be in the minority.

This is great to see Jimmy in a rap battle but I would've seen him vs Cartman but this is great and Adam was a good choice for Jimmy and Benny did great as usual 10 out of 10

Considering that you made a tier list of your thumbnails, how about a tier list of the battles themselves?

Seeing almost every comment here that picks a winner with said winner being James “Jimmy” Hopkins is making it difficult for me to stay adamant with genuinely siding with Silver (though not by much). Can you provide an analysis on how you decided your win?

Edit: unless this comment isn’t meant to be taken seriously, I’m going to have to disagree; you could picked a later line in the battle and I could properly understand your viewpoint, but you didn’t.

(Also, I kind of take a point off from Jimmy for being contradictory in the second part of his first verse as far as that one goes (just observe the two lines with “drop(ped)” in them and you’ll understand me).

@@angelicwarrior118 Not that much. Silver DID indeed lose his ID, he DID treat gold like ass, and his dad was a part of rocket, the Gold and Silver segments of PA DID have to bring Kanto chars back, however the parts about his dad were not all correct.

IMO, Jimmy had some flaws in some of his lines and Silver barely won. Edit: I need clarification if this comment was created on the foundation of someone who likes hearing Pokémon characters get dissed. You can at least acknowledge Silver’s disses and I’d be fine.

I honestly feel like there should be more people siding with Silver (at least in the comments). I feel like this is a tie, but I’ll be against most viewers and say Silver won. This was definitely close, but honestly, Silver’s lines were less-flawed (at least to me; Jimmy contradicted at least once, the “weakest pick” line feels false to me, and as potent as the “‘no’ between ‘Godfather’” line was, Silver’s line about Jimmy’s relationship with his parents feels like a harder hit (at least to me)). I appreciate there being more human characters from Pokémon in rap battles, and Silver has polished material to make a balanced battle out of. Me and my best friend are currently coming up with a matchup involving Penny, who is from the most recent titles, Scarlet and Violet, and we plan to collaborate with Special Inquisitor Rayyan/SIR Rap Battles for the time being. All in all, you (and anyone else involved) deserve a pat on the back for your rap battles; you are honestly one of the most underrated/underappreciated creators out there. I saw your recent community post and look forward to your next creation. Bye now!
