Great choice if going for quantity. Been there, done that, so I'd be looking for something collectible, such as a slabbed CC Morgan dollar... or half a dozen of them. 🙂

10 oz bars are the basis of my stack. Mostly Britannia and RCM. If the price drops I've got my eye on 10 oz Coca-Cola bars only because I think they look sharp and people collect Coca-Cola items due to the name.

In swiss living in Switzerland and we have only a few coin shows per year. Mostly more for collectors and usually more expensive than in a coin store or from a online bidding plattform. That's why the coin shows in my country are not so popular and not many people visit. Huge difference if you compare to the USA

Give me $5K of somebody else's money to buy anything at the show and I'm going home with 2 gold buffalo.

I'm going to a coin show in Reno in about 6 weeks and will be taking $5k with me. Hope to find some real nice goodies. Don't care for the buffalo design but would be happy with a slabbed MS-63 St. Gaudens $20 gold coin... or two. 😀

I just started stacking silver less than a year ago as a emergency fund/ insurance and fell in love with it. I'm at 55 0zs not sure what to do buy, wait. I just continue to DCA and decided to grab some premium silver while waiting to see what happens with the price. I got my 1st Morgan and Libertad also a marvel coin the Wolverine. Going to pick up a 2 oz Kraken by the Canadian mint then back to the cheapest silver.

I would nudge you to take a close look Canadian Maple Leafs. The reasons: 1. They are incredibly well known all around the world, not just the US 2. With their new mint shield during the last couple years they never discolour like pretty much all other silver 3. They have 9999 purity, which is the gold standard (pun intended) 4. they have relatively low premiums often times very close to rounds and much below eagles 5. they have a small security feature that is almost impossible to fake I want to stress the 1. point again. In Europe everyone knows Maples. They are much much bigger here than eagles. You get pretty much the same for a maple here than you would for an eagle. If you ever want to sell silver in Europe you will be glad that you didn't pay the eagle premium. Also rounds are not really a thing in europe, with maples being slightly above spot + tax, there is no reason for rounds. American 90% is completly unknown here. Europeans pretty much exclusively stack government mint silver and Maples are just so great in all their attributes, especially premium. I also like Brittanias for their design, premium and excessive usage of security features (:

In 2011 silver hit 48.00 an ounce. Reason given is debt ceiling, election, and industrial. We are going through all that now and it’s under 30.00 an ounce. Makes me scratch my head.

During the PlanDemic I really scored on the last day of an estate sale close to my neighborhood, everything was priced 1/2 off so I made an offer on a bunch of "Junk Silver". Came home, all smiles, with well over TEN and Half pounds of pre-64 US Mint halves, quarters, and dimes..........for...........wait for it..............$325 cash. Melt value today is about $4,200, SWEET SCORE.

Wow, I can't believe how many ppl go to coin shows, I have never been to one before but I hope to sometime this year, it looks like it would be a heck of a lot of fun. THE SARGE

Like the question if you had a 5000 how would you invest. Personally probably split it 1000-1500 gold, 500 for more collectable pieces or numismatic, 2000 on 10 oz silver bars and the rest on generic silver rounds. Its neat when the back of your safe is lined with stacked 10 oz silver bars.

@@gilldavidmour4199 Yes, he does. But when times get MUCH harder than they are today, hunger will become a great teacher. They will either learn about which coins have what in short order or they will become hungrier and hungrier until they do. Yes, life can be hard sometimes and even cruel but it is up to each of us to deal with it as best we can. Everything someone needs to know about Ag can be printed on a 3"x5" card, so it's not that difficult or extensive. ATM, they just don't have any incentive to do so.

If I had $5,000 I’d buy whatever is undervalued.

Made the mistake of converting ALL my 10 oz bars to a 100 oz poured J&M. Had to sell, Dealer bought BELOW SPOT :(

I’d be roughly the same. Maybe half a kilo of silver closest to spot, 2 x 1/2 ounce gold coins and the balance in Maple leaves. The prices are so high though! I’m glad I started stacking in 2018 before the market shot up.

@@briansymmes7917 the premiums aren't that bad on the 10 gramers. Also have ti worry about the weakening dollar and 10k reporting requirement. Gold would have to go to 33k before 1 bar hits the limit.

I don't buy when prices are this high, DCAing is ridiculous when the prices are so high. Right now, I'm just stacking cash until the prices come back down, WHICH THEY WILL, they always do. I always buy a TON when prices drop below ~$22ish

Great video. Great interviews from great people. If I had $5000 to spend on silver or gold, I would buy silver only (not much of a fan of gold) i would buy a variety of silver. 90% 40% 35% 1, 5 and 10 oz bars and rounds, ASEs and Morgans, raw and slabbed. And, collectables.

“ if you have 1000 or 5000 of silver, what are you spending it on?” I assume if they have that quantity of silver, probably not spending it on silver.

With $5k I'd buy an AGE and spend the rest on constitutional silver.

I don't own any gold. All in silver. Traded my 1 oz of gold sometime ago and got 88 oz of silver. I'm wating for the G/S ratio to get below 30 or so to trade for some gold. Any thoughts ?

I want to cash my silver in for fiat currency that is losing purchasing power daily please😂 90%silver quarter in 1970 bought 1 gallon of gas, same quarter today is worth about $5. Not exactly true. You have to sell that quarter in order to convert it to fiat that you can then exchange for gas. That takes time and gas to go to a shop that most likely won't give you more then 4 bucks for a single quarter if they entertain you at all. Then use more gas to get to the actual gas station. A silver quarter at a gas station today will get you .25 or 1/20 of a 5 dollar gallon.

Gonna have to disagree in the middle saying "you'll never have to explain constitutional to anyone. On the contrary I'd say u don't have to explain fine silver after showing the price...but why wouldn't it expect to explain that it's not fine and it's 90% so there's math already, then u gotta explain why (the years and composition) I believe 2is1 made that point a year ago or so and it just makes fine silver simpler

I still could care less about them.

Personally, I stack in case the dollar collapses OR silver becomes scarce due to nations buying up all bullion they are able. This may sound like a get rich quick avenue, but no. I am thinking big picture. If the dollar tanks, banks would likely pull a 1929 stock market move and call their loans to both obtain capital and property to use to gain capital. I want to have enough that I can both pay off my mortgage AND have something to pay the property taxes to protect my home from avenues of annex/seizure. I am no where near that amount presently, but best to stack with a goal in mind.
