Always a fun topic. I wonder which of these "silver" performances you would have actually picked over the supporting performance that won that year. As far as my own list go, from 1936-2023, 58 of the performances I thought were the best support male performances of the year did not win the Oscar (in a few cases they weren't even nominated).

Now silver leading actress Lily Glastone Killers of The Flower Moon silver leading actor Paul Giamatti The Holdovers

Mark Ruffalo for Poor Things is my bronze

If Charles Melton had been rightfully nominated (and even deserved to win in my opinion, he should have been atleast deserved silver…

I agree with Gene Wilder in The Producers, Burt Reynolds in Boogie Nights and Ryan Gosling in Barbie, I would have added Tom Cruise for Magnolia and I think Martin Landau deserved his award for Ed Wood he was the film, despite the title!
