Interesting idea - though if a customer insisted on this design there's no way in the world I'd guarantee the stone would stay in ;)

Love the design…but I wouldn’t trust that stone from getting knocked out & lost. It is a beautiful ring!!

diamonds are inalterable but not unbreakable, .....an impact on the girdle and it shatters.....to preserve😄 in a safe

I feel the same way about tension settings. They look amazing, but I would always feel so anxious 😬

A novelty master at best. Honestly this is the quality I expected to see. This type throws the term master around as if it held no meaning.

i also worry about chipping the girdle very easily. However it is beautifully crafted and a wonderful neat idea. Personally I'd probably not risk putting a real diamond in that swirling position....

If you seriously figured out your design, it would be more secured than a regular ring! I'm familiar with crafts & designs, just one look, and I know that its brilliant!

I didn't see if the spinning stone had inverted facets on top or not. What if the bottom of stone had a cylindrical shape and was placed deeper in the set? I'm not a jeweler, I'm just spit-balling because I agree with your opinion.

The finish on the ring looks about 20% done there are lots of sctratches, the inside of the ring is dinged up and uneven. The big diamond is of center compared to the ring hole, The top part of the diamond holder has a weird square where it bends and the upper part before the "notch" is uneven in thickness. and the upper left side of the ring straighter that the rest of the ring, making it look like a off center hole in a eclipse.

I don't care for the design, but I also thought the same about the amount of solder used to put in the top piece of the ring, and the final polish. Silver polishes up so nicely when it's worked properly, but this also seems like a huge expense in diamonds to set in silver that is going to tarnish and scratch easily.

Great design and work, but i think the finish polishing can be better than that. Still have sanding marks

There is no denying the craftsmanship here, but I not only question the durability of the design, but also the idea of covering the table facet with a metal bar. After all, it is light collected from here which bounces around inside the diamond giving it its sparkle. Interesting idea none the less.

I don’t believe this ring was ever meant to be worn. It’s a lovely concept piece, but I don’t think it was designed for anything more than looking at.

It's cool, but silvered titanium would have been better than silver. For the security of the gem. Other than the ring loosening the gem is perfectly secure, if the tip rests deep enough. I've used connections such as these for a solid glass bottle spinning around for a bar. It can be perfectly secure, and even guests bumping into it full body won't take it out of the fitting. The weak point is the top bending ever so slightly and silver is far weaker than titanium.

One good bang from the top and that beautiful Diamond could be damaged and/or lost. Imagine the pressure on the culet from a bang from the top. This is not a good idea but is excellent practice as a jeweler.

Real Cool. What I didn't like was the stupid ads. YT is slowly adding more and more. Now I'm loosing 1/2 minute with ads in the middle of the video as well as in the beginning. I think YT is starting to cross a threshold of "I'm sick and tired of watching ads!". I know ads are what keeps it running but I think YT managers are just getting too greedy. It is starting to look public television (those channels no one watches!). Anyway, nice original idea for the ring and excellent skills. Loved it!

It’s an interesting concept, but I see two major flaws with it, I honestly hope that this was just a prototype, because those big welds are showing and it really takes away from the design. Second off, that diamond would be lost in a heartbeat.
