Silver Certificate $1 Dollar Bill Complete Guide - What Is It Worth And Why?
A relatively smaller series coming to the channel, this video seeks to provide a complete overview of the small size Silver Certificate 1 Dollar Bills - everything from what they are worth to how many series' there were to how star notes and full bill serial number run packs are valued. We'll start with an introduction and move to a presentation on the 1928 1 Dollar Silver Certificate, 1934 1 Dollar Silver Certificate, 1935 1 Dollar Silver Certificate, and 1957 1 Dollar Silver Certificate. There are some series with very valuable star notes and others that are significantly more common, so it pays to be informed and know what to be on the look out for if you are bill searching, bank strap hunting, currency hunting, or anything of that nature. The information is also good for casual banknote and currency fans as well.

Found a silver certificate hidden in an old book that my girlfriend bought. Very helpful info! Thank you! Unfortunately it's only a 1935 F series. Nothing special but very interesting to know about all of the different silver certificates!

That's awesome! Thanks so much.
Ty for this video, very informative. The 1928 $1 silver certificate was also referred to as the funnyback. These are nice to have in any collection. The 1928 funnyback has the blue seal on the left obverse. After the crash of 1929, all silver certificates have the seal on the right obverse.

God job, TT!! Don't know if you have done one on large notes, but it would be helpful!!😊

I did one! It's called Complete History of the $1 or something!
The meaning of the letter following the "Series Date" is the "changing of the Treasurer'" 1935 (first Treasurer for FDR), 1935A (next Treasurer for FDR) 1935 C (third Treasurer) and so. Therefore, the date of printing can be determined by which Treasurer served under which POTUS. The later scnotes of 1935 were actually printed in the 1940s.

Two dollar silver certs are pretty expensive - I have vids on both Red Seals and the full picture of the $2 on the channel.
I just got one of these bills today in the store 😂🙏❤️
not necessarily what i wanted to hear, but great information. thanks for sharing. if you ever want to collaborate, i have tons of great content
Is there a place where I can learn what ALL of the numbers and letters mean on the 1928 silver certificates? Thanks.
Damn dude.... I actually learned something. 😶
Most 1935G notes didn't have the motto "In God We Trust." However toward the end of the series 1935G there were those printed with the motto.
You should have covered the American-backed Philippine peso banknote! Those were wartime emergency issue banknotes similar to the Hawaii overprint and Yellow Seal North Africa banknotes. They were issued back when the Philippines was an American colony.

Good point! I actually own one of those.. they are super cool. Was a mistake not to include them!
I have one with silver writing over the regular writing it's misaligned though.
I have a 35 E Star Note with a misaligned cut, in almost unc condition, what would the value be, on average?
Could you help me I have a 1923 silver certificate was low numbers and a star it's in a large bill what is the value seem real good shape
What if start with a star then a letter ??? Would that it makes different ???
Christian, do you have anything on bank notes? I saw a $10 bank note with a standard obverse, but had a bank of Syracuse. New York (if I remember the city correctly) on the reverse, about 20 years ago. I don't remember the year of the note, though.

Hi Huckfinnsj - those are probably national banknotes. The Syracuse should have been on the front, though. Maybe something like this: collectiblenotes.com/product/10-1929-syracuse-new-york-ny-national-currency-bank-note-bill-ch-13393-fine/
Got a 1935g silver certificate is it worth anything
What about the 1928 or 1963 red seal 2 dollar notes? I have won some currency notes. But I'm more into the metals an coins. I'll start currency later on. But any info to the red seal 2 dollar notes would be appreciated

I have a 1935 G ⭐️ note. Very dingy on front. 🐎
Great history ... wish our money was still backed by silver ... concerned that the government will inflate our currency away.
Glad you did this video! I heard some people have stamped their own fake R or S on some of the bills. Have you heard about this?

I have! There's a certain serial number range to look for, but I don't remember what it is.
I have a 1957 silver certificate one dollar bill with star on both serial number with a C letter and a blue seal on d right of George Washington pls wats d value
I have a blue star silver certificate dollar bills from 1957, one is A and the other is B. What are they worth
What is a star on the left side of a one dollar silver certificate 1957A all my other ones the star is on the right side
I have a question I don't know if your still looking at these videos but if you are. Can I ask if your 1935 silver certificate is printed almost all the way to the left side does that change the value? I know you said they are worth 1.50 but I can't find any printed that far over like mine

I would look at eBay sales - it probably needs to be printed off of the actual note the paper is on to have much premium.
Yeah I got a 1957 c. At least it looks brand new. Still going to keep it.

Happy beautiful evening sir I have a one million u s dollar series 1928 blue seal silver certificate from Quezon Palawan Philippines with love
1957 A
How much is a 1935 D misprinted Silver Certificate? It’s misaligned a lot.
1957
What was the purpose of these? You could just use a federal reserve note and get change and it would all be silver until 1964. What am I missing?
R there any errors I have one not sentered
#4:57 I recently purchased both $1 Silver Certificates ("Funny Back" Series 1928 A & "Regular Back" Series 1935 A) at one of my coin club's auction. There is a slight difference, however, between the SCN (Silver Certificate Note) in your video and my note. Your note shows the "Series & Date" in the upper left, while my note has the "Series & Date A" at the bottom right. Slight change in design? #9:28 You forgot to mention the SCN's with the motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" on the reverse above "ONE" in the center of the note. These notes were printed after WW II, during "the Cold War" and "McCarthy eras (still continues today)🤦♂️ .

I'm guessing this one is not worth a whole lot but it is a 1935 D with no in god we trust on the back. I'm wondering what's it's worth? Anyone have an answer?

Probably the only way is to Buy It Now sell on eBay with a high price you'd be happy with receiving and allow offers. Or post on a coin forum.
I have one of these and have no idea what it was D:
I GOT A STAR UP ONE LOOIKING FOR SALE IT
The problem I see is that you are telling my how much fiat I will get for this paper note. If a certain bill was printed back in 1935 for example, it should be worth what one dollar of silver should get you back then today!
I have a 1957 silver certificate dollar
I have a few of 1935 g series without in god we trust...everyone says f series was the last not to have it....Ummm I beg to differ....g series is after f series and mine don't have it.

The 1935G with motto were produced in November and December of 1956. Previous1935G didn't have the motto.
