The anchor was a Sears. You will always be able to tell due to the 24” x 24” cheap grey tile entrance fascia to the inside of malls. Not split rock, not brick, not marble or granite… cheap kitchen floor tiles, just larger. 😂

The place next to where Sears used to be was Shoe Show, it was run by a family. They had a store in Lady Lake too. I guess the man who had it passed away. I used to work at Sears in the Shoe Dept. I worked there from 1985 until about 2004. It was wonderful working there. WOW, the mall has changed so much. Target is gone. Belk, Bath and Body Works, and AMC are still there. Target is gone. Taco John is gone and so is Coney Island, they had really good food. I remember when Penny's was at the other end of the mall. There was also Morrison's Cafe, there was also the travel agency in there when we moved up. So many stores are gone. Not very many people in there now like it used to be. Thank you for the video update.

I grew up in the area and frequented this mall in the late 90's (moved from the area in 2001). Turning left after B&BW, Via Entertainment used to be a Target. My friends and I would get our snacks here before heading to AMC for a movie. There used to be a Sbarro, DQ, and CFA in the food court. The anchor at the other end @ 14:00 was a JC Penney, and there used to be a Garfield's restaurant (formerly Piccadilly Cafeteria) in the Dominican/Cuban restaurant space. I believe it did become a Cuban restaurant in the 2010's, that subsequently closed.
