Sougata, Rhododendron blooms only in March - April. I had been to Varsey Rhododendron Sanctuary trek probably in April 2006 when several varieties of red, pink and purple Rhododendrons were in full bloom

Thanks Dipanjan for the information. Since there were so many red flowers during the journey Rhododendron came out of mouth my in excitement. I even asked some locals but they could not name the flower.

Direct share cab paoa difficult. You can go to Jorethang or Geyzing first and then from there you can get a share cab.

Bhoy paben na. Melli Bazar er por theke rasta kub chowra (mountain standard onujaye). Be very care during the sharp turns. Legsheep er por 15 km till Pelling is narrow with steep incline. Don't always follow Google map blindly... recheck and verify with the locals. One important point is while going down hill never keep your car on neutral. 2nd gear ba speed bujhe gear select kore drive korben down hill e.... technically it's called engine braking. You check videos on youtube regarding this. If you are in trouble stop your car immediately and take help from local driver... All the best and have a safe journey.
