At 10:08 timestamp of the video, what he meant by the cultural advantage of India is the emphasis of parents to put their kids into stem (science, technology, engineering & mathematics) fields. Now that startups are getting popular, using that advantage of large stem population will be helpful in building products. So we know how to build products but our current learning curve is how to build brands & how to sell. We ain't at par in those areas when compared likes odf usa but we are getting there slowly.

In my opinion language is just a tool for communication but in India English is everything even school, college to a company which is not good for majority of Indians and I truly believe we need to focus on our own Indian language for our growth and communication see China, South Korea, Japan they are economy powerhouse with their own language even European countries

fair enough - I think this is just a point of view. So we have a saying in Slovakia as many languages you know that many times you are a person. Meaning that knowing as many languages as possible opens the doors for you. Historically people on our territory spoke German, Hungarian and Slovak. I can only do Slovak and English and I wish I knew many more languages. I feel this can only aid you.

That's not how India could be a vishwa guru. Chinese Universities with 30k foreign students have their courses in English for them. If you reverse the already advantage of comm that we have, decade later with more diversified trade routes we won't have enough people to clarify complaints and feedback.

As per your comment, you should know this. Software implementation is initially not bug free and perhaps not as per specs. Because there is an exchange of information and specification between two different parties - the expert in the field and the software aspect. So the initial version is really a pre-production version where all discrepancies would be found and fixed.

So they made a team to correct all the computers before 31 December 1999 and 60% of the people involved in correcting were Indian. This way our IT revolution started. Specially USA and UK government used huge amount of money to correct it, but in the end this bug didn't cause any trouble.

I have been working with clients from US from quite a time but their expectations with the results and the money they pay is just hilarious, employees in west will laugh on the amount been told by them, it’s not even 10% of what they’d pay in US but they expect the quality to be top notch.

Watch this kzread.info/dash/bejne/apqsvMiTfc-XiLw.html If you carefully watch the Mangalyaan and Chandrayaan missions of ISRO you will notice the gradual raising of the orbits. That require an insane amount of calculation Again the 104 satellite that ISRO launched in one go, required placing each satellite in a slightly different orbit, while the rocket itself was hurtling along at 27000 km/hr. Mind boggling to say the least😊

Earth is round, and we know it for thousands and thousands years, even the word for geography in Sanskrit is 'Bhugol' means the earth is round. There are nine planets,it is known to Indians for millenia,as we call th "Nav grah" means Nine planets in sanskrit. And these are just examples, list is looong. But because of colonisation, history was re written and all credits went to west.

The cultural advantage being spoken of, it's just not an advantage, it's actually the bedrock of our culture. In our culture knowledge has always been considered as the supreme, and not money or anything else. Knowledge has been considered the ultimate power, and not money or military might or some asset. Such was the prioritisation of knowledge, culturally we were so invested in persuasion of knowledge that there's a special category(Varna) of people whose sole job was to pursue knowledge and to it's highest levels. They were supposed to be so committed that they didn't even have a livelihood. It was upon the society to maintain them by aids, grants and donations, but they were the most respected people in the society. Why? because they were financially poor but they had the supreme power i.e. knowledge. Hence, a culture which considers knowledge to be supreme would obviously extensively engage in pursuing it, and when you have people with knowledge all around, entrepreneurship and innovation is a foregone conclusion, as said in the video as well. This philosophy of superiority of knowledge is what makes INDns in every nook and corner of this world to pursue education. This philosophy is the reason why IND had a golden past, and is poised to have a golden future as well, given that a millennium of oppression has ended.

You have a funny way of offering backhanded compliments. With reference to your comment about outsourced work quality being not being as good as European work, I offer this analogy: when you go to a car showroom to buy a new car, do you expect to get a better quality car with lots of amazing features if you offer them 1/10th of the price of a high-end car? There is a single-minded objective when work is offshored to India and that is to benefit from cost savings by paying them 1/10th to 1/20th of the European price. It is disingenuous to expect high quality by offering low price. If Europeans are that much into high quality, they should pay the same or near-same price and get those IIT-ians in this video to come up with something (they would still refuse because the typical outsourced type of low-end work is not what an IIT-ian would ever aspire to do, no matter the pay).

I hear what you say. It is done for the cost-cutting reasons for sure. However, as an employee (the decisions are also not made by you) your expectations is that due to that strategic move your quality of work won't be affected. I personally don't know a single person who is happy with the offshored solutions across different industries. However, I think your point is super valid - and this is of course how it is not sold to the people over here - so these things then create tension, etc.

India's economy will be doubled in next 5 years from 3.7 trillion dollar today to 8 trillion dollar in 2028-29. And see whatever stereotypes are in western world it'll change in upcoming 5-10 years when our economy grows...as you're making video today but I am not sure 10 years back you would be interested in India as you're today bcz you're also seeing some result or progress and it'll keep on improving in upcoming years as India has immense potential

@@zuzanareacts Indians are very good at picking up various languages as we speak over 1,000 dialects and recognized 22 languages in the country. Even a lowly educated person will know 3 to 4 languages. People who have business or are on transferable jobs learn many more. My ancestors are from then Punjab which got divided in Haryana and smaller Punjab, so I can speak Punjabi and Haryanvi. I was borne in Rajasthan and did schooling there, so I can speak Rajasthani. Got married at Mumbai, Maharashtra and my children were born there, so a bit of Marathi and Gujarati. Have settled down at NOIDA, Uttar Pradesh, so speak Khadi language of this area very similar to Haryanvi. Hindi and English are mainly spoken across the nation and are the main medium of education, so most people can speak fluently in these languages. Learnt Russian for 03 years and now slowly forgetting it, as none in my friend's circle talks in this language. Rest -------💪💪enjoying my retired life.
