I was in Middle school when I watched this, at the time I was really suicidal. This movie saved me, made me realize the importance of friends and family. And to leave them behind would be extremely selfish. This movie changed my life forever.

Maria is just perfect as a character.

I was a mean girl in middle school. I’m in high school now, and the effects of my actions still reside with me today. I still think about how I likely made those kids feel, how I made fun of them just to make myself feel better about my miserable life. I’ve tried to apologize to the kids I made fun of, some forgave me, some didn’t. And they have every right to decline my pathetic apologies. Which is why I relate to Shoya so deeply. This movie resignates with me so much I can’t even describe it. And like most people, every time I watch it I can’t help but break out into tears. The art and word building is beautiful, the characters are so well-written, and so much is described so beautifully without words. Ik many of you probably relate to this movie in some capacity, and I just want you all to know that it gets better. time heals all wounds, and you all need to just keep going. If you don’t feel like you fit in now, please keep in mind that now isn’t forever. You all will find your place in this world, it truly just takes time. Please remember to keep going, keep your head up, and stay strong.

An awesome movie worth sharing in every school. It shows both sides of bullying, the one being bullied and the one who is doing the bullying. So many emotions in this anime. I was crying a lot.

Normally anime with English dubs sound weird (at least for me), but the English dubs for A Silent Voice nails it. It brings out the exact same message just like in Japanese, and those conversations sounded so natural which is surprising 😮 Many anime has conversations between characters that sound awkward as if they’re npcs. This is top-notch 👍🏻

Tbf, when you're in such a desperate situation, you forget everything around you and only focus on one thing. Shoya had tunnel vision. To him, that table probably wasn't even visible. As for him sitting there wasting seconds, it's possible that he was still trying to process what was about to happen. Remember, it isn't every day you see something like this. Most people (internally or externally) would be panicking, and your critical thinking kicks in. You've got mere seconds to make life altering decisions.

I had a hard time watching movies because i get bored fast. But for A Silent Voice, i was so invested that i forgot about my surroundings, i was so focused on the movie and i love it so much. No movie or show has ever made me cry like A Silent Voice did. This movie means a lot to me and it changed my perspective in life. I learned that we should accept ourselves for who we are and let go of the past, we should never let anything get to us. Like Miki said, 1:46:20 "the thing is, you have to accept the bad parts of yourself with the good and just move forward". I am never gonna forget this movie.

My friend recommended this anime to me because personally I don't like to be kind person but when I watch this anime now. I felt like I want to change my life right now and to start to be a kind person. This anime makes me cry right now. When I watch this anime, I learn alot. All I want is love and I want a friend's that willing to listen my problems, to reduce my stress and anxiety, for real. If I rewatch this anime, would you like in my comment. I watched the movie as a child with my sister a few years ago. I didn’t cry at all and I was like 9 or something. Rewatched tonight for the first time, it’s 2 am exactly and I honestly sobbed all the way through the movie like bro since WHEN is it so sad😭😭😭

1:46:05 made me cry because it gave me a no BS reason too see why life is worth living. 2:00:08 Made me cry because it showed me how those closest would feel if i kms. This is the first time I’ve ever watched this movie due to the fact that it was removed off of Netflix and it is a complete masterpiece. It means so much to me and really knows how to show the different viewpoints of others. Tysm for reuploading this when i never got the chance to watch it in the past

This movie forever will be remembered in my heart, as it showed both perspectives. Letting me think of my actions and how it affects people, just like Nishimiya had done.

I just watched this movie for the first time, and I can’t even count how many times I’ve cried. I got chills when the credits started to play. I’ve never had a movie effect me so much.

It is an absolute pleasure to watch this again.

this movie has always had a strong connection to me. i’ve been bullied around since 2nd grade. my brother showed me this movie when i just got new to anime. 4th anime/anime movie i’ve ever watched in general and i loved it. even though i’m not deaf, nor bullied like that. i kinda understand how shouko feels and it’s sad. my older bullies are now my friends and it was quite akward at first for around 6 months, now, i’m a bit closer and i hope i can get a bit closer to them like Shoya and Shouko.this is around my 9th time actually watching this movie. i love it so much and it gets me every time. shame it got removed off of netflix. still as good as it usually is though! 12/10. definitely recommended this movie and it’s amazing. this movie has a special place in my heart. it use to, it still does, and it always will be.currently crying right now..can’t help it! The character designs, voice actors, the script, and everything makes this so much better and it all adds together. fits perfectly.

Maturing is realizing shoko wasnt the silent voice, it was shoya.

The best anime that holds a place in my heart. The characters,development,pace,videography,motion,voices,actors,actresses all were perfect to put you into the movie. Sadly Kyoto was attacked but one day I hope to see the second movie/ show. I would love to see them as adults.

First time anime made me drop a tear..... Best 1 yet‼️
