A beautiful and stirring version of the Yuletide Classic "Silent Night, Holy Night; Stille Nacht" Heilige Nacht" featuring Lisa Bryce singing both in English and German, with Donna Brown on Keyboards. This Performance moved the audience to tears at the Apostel-Paulus-Kirche in
Berlin-Schoeneberg,Germany.

I guess it's time for me to get into the fray. I filmed Lisa Bryce's performance. I was torn being being a member of the Audience and functioning as a cameraman. I, like everyone else there was mesmerized by her rendition of this most famous of all Christmas Carols. Donna Brown's accompaniment is right on the money and sets the mood for a memorable performance. This version is becoming a very popular one on the internet and rightfully so. I'm proud to have been a part of the "team". Darnell

@GinaMausi100 Sorry that's not true, but it was not in Germany. The first time "Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht" was performed in Oberndorf near to Salzburg (Austria) on Christmas 1818.

is lisa still member of the g.g.perls ? greetings from germany
was komisch ist ist das lied au österreich und ist schon mehr als 200 jahren alt
I can't say I like this performance really. It doesn't sound right to me sung in an "operatic" style, that is, with the "wavering" voice sound. I'm so used to hearing it sung with a "flat" voice that it kinda sounds wrong when I hear it rendered operatically. IMHO the most haunting rendition of it ever is by Sinead O'Connor.
bicause its a original german/austrian song
Patrick Kaserer ist zwar egal, und Du hast auch Recht (tolles Lied), aber Oberndorf gehörte bis 1816 zu Deutschland

If I did indeed misunderstand you about what you meant, that's where the "close-minded" comment came from, sorry about that. I am in agreement with you about a lot of the renditions of classic Christmas songs that we are subjected to while shopping or whatnot, the ones where the singer hits every note on the scale except the one they're supposed to be on. Torture, pure torture. Once again, sorry I misunderstood, and Merry Christmas to you and yours.
To boring I want to sleep.
OMG, tinroof, that was so not "rap-ified", as you call it...just because you heard a black woman sing it...When was the last time you heard a black artist sing in German? It was just her voice, quite a good one at that. I think you're used to hearing stuff done in a particular way, and to diss any other style is a bit closed-minded.
