As someone who is getting the second of two degrees that pertain to mental health, it surprises how this really shclocky slasher from the mid 1980s seemed to understand the effects of trauma on the brain better than some dramas that tried to seriously tackle the subject. I think this movie is a blast. I watch this every Christmas. And don't worry. Mother Superior doesn't make it too far into the series. lol

It was just recently pointed out to me. Especially in Christmas themed horror films

I feel they missed a trick in this series. Both Billy and someone else in the sequel (no spoilers) grow to be hot, muscular men with displays of super-strength. The third movie drops what could have been a great possessed by Krampus story.

I absolutely love channels that keep the horror going all throughout the holiday season. Only a few people get that vibe.

This movie came out the same week as Nightmare On Elm Street but it was actually doing better at the box office than Nightmare. Unfortunately, it got pulled from theaters because parents did not like the idea of a killer Santa. What's funny is that one of the people that were against this movie was Mickey Rooney who played older Todd in Fox & The Hound and ended up playing a major character in Silent Night, Deadly Night 5. Also, the little girl that Denise was babysitting should be lucky. How many kids can say that they got a murder weapon for Christmas?

Why would they drive all the way out there to visit the grandpa in the hospital for 5 seconds? Lol not even to visit grandpa but talk to the doctor

I always thought, the grandpa faking being catatonic is because he thinks its the only way to be "nice all year" and avoid the wrath of Santa.

The movie makers can't math. I can't math either, but at least I wouldn't have made the baby brother that much younger when Billy was 18. The little brother at the end would have been in his early teens, not like ten. I know, it's a weird thing to get annoyed at, especially with the subject matter of this film. It just bothers me.

I love his hairy butt, it's beautiful And please try to see the sequel if you want justice about Mother Superiour...she'll get hers ... the sequel does hash up a third of the 1984 movie...but for me it works as we are now following his little brother

Can you guys PLEASE react to “ring of darkness” from like 2004(?). It’s literally one of the gayest horror movies ever and it’s so stupid and campy and low budget. It’s about a zombie boy band holding a competition for a new lead singer and the contestants are at the island and start going missing one by one it’s so bad but so good. And it stars Ryan Starr from the first season of American idol. I would die if you did it ❤️

Mother Superior has to go.

You should've just watched the "sequel". It contains most of this film plus some hilariously bad acting in the new scenes.
