Silent Letters in English | A to Z Rules
Learn the rules of silent letters in English! YES, THERE ARE RULES!
In this video I give you the A to Z rules of silent letters. I also give some of the most common words that don't seem to follow any rules, but that you need to know!
NB: Silent letters exist in English because of historical and linguistic reasons. English has also been less "regulated" than other languages. But you don't need to know the history to have correct pronunciation. 😉

Dear Max, since I started to review my forgotten English grammar, I feel how easy and enjoyable it is . It's just being with and along with you. Meanwhile I like to be corrected wherever I have mistaken in writing or grammar. ✌
Thank you so much Max, the rules will be extremely helpful for the non native speakers.

So simple and beautiful a lesson .!
Thank you so much for such a wonderful lecture, Ms. Max!
Learning became my love and one thing I learned and it cannot ever be forgotten by anyone who wishes to learn it better and able to be fluent in it, even the natural English speaking countries we must learn and be aware of these things mentioned in your topic of pronunciation, which I loved. There are the areas typical pronunciation and old English ”slangs’ . Many of the mentioned pronunciations mentioned here have a different pronunciation due to low learning level or because of the old use still in habit. My many old and classic books reading really helped me see how the words where spelled and pronounced in a totally different way. And I really learned that the dictionaries are some of the wonderful teachers in my private reviewing and as a translator in finding the best words to be used in the translation meaning. Amazing how languages have their history and how it has changed, how languages are affected in other languages ...so many things that affect the languages. I loved your video, my first English started with British language and I loved it, loved your voice as well, very clear and good sound🥰🤗

You are a wonderful teacher. Luckily, I stumbled upon your classes! My grandchildren were born overseas (Indonesia) and their mom is a non-native speaker. The Pandemic brought them home. At their K-6 “International” English school the teachers (bless their sweet hearts) did not have full command of the idiosyncrasies of our complicated language. The girls are preteens and have a million questions.. is it scent or cent? Why? They are little sponges..and are fine. Mom is brilliant.. you will take her to the next level. Thank you!

Instead of the concept of silent letters, one can use the concept of spellings that correspond to each sound. One can list all the possible spellings that correspond to each sound. The Random House unabridged dictionary has such complete lists.
I was impressed by your simple way of teaching.
