Taff the difference in the Radar warning receivers is that the wooden one can only pick up very long wavelenghts which the allies wont use anymore. They will use very small centrimetric wavelenghts which is why the more modern one is better.

yes the Allies developed Centimetric Radar aka Wavelengths less than 10cm....like 3cm Wavelength is X Band fire control Radars which while short ranged are very accurate. Long wave Radars can detect further but are less accurate. Long Wave Radars are typically used as early warning but tracking is handed over to better suited Radars of other bands. The second Radar detector is shorter ranged but is able to detect the new British Radars

Your statistics were just fine. On your first look, you had “all patrols” selected. When you went to look after the liner was sunk, “current patrol” was selected. That’s why you weren’t seeing what you wanted.

Taff, while the successful sinking of the enemy destroyer and the liner is what your aim is, it is perhaps wise not to sit at periscope depth with your periscope up all the time in a flat calm sea. Doing so gives the enemy spotters ample time to find your periscope and take action. You should check out how Wolfpack345 works. He takes his observations then puts the periscope back down; he doesn't sit with the periscope up throughout the attack watching the action. A torpedo is going to do its business regardless of whether the scope is up or not and your crew will inform you of the result. You don't need to sit on the scope. For your viewers' entertainment, you can go to the exterior camera view.

reason your stats were off after you shot down the planes. Was because your had the drop down box on all patrols not current patrol under statistics.

I'm curious if you would have better luck with acoustic homing torpedoes if you lined the shot up with the target's stern instead of a flank shot.

This is why I watch him. He's not perfect, doesn't play perfect, makes mistakes. It's much more entertaining than the other war game youtubers who play like gods all the time.
