SH, SH2, SH3. They are masterpieces. They're horrific, but SH2 made me cry as a 14 year old, and again as a 34 year old.

Every Silent Hill protagonist has the saddest tragedies happen to them.

Lol before I found the name of this track, I would always insert this game in my PS2, and load up my save file to where I meet Laura at the hotel. Just hearing this reminds me of a calm,tranquil time I used to enjoy. Man those were the days...

This brings me pure melancholy. I used to listen to this song every foggy morning when I had to go to high school. Things were a lot better back then. So calm, had no preoccupations neither a wish of Death. I want to go back. Please.

True story, I played the HD version of the game but heard this song from the movie. So after that I was hooked on the story so I got the game. Well first time for Silent Hill was also the first time of doing a hard drug. I will not state what it was but ever since then, all the songs of Silent Hill 2 have stuck with me and I can't fathom why but they do and they calm me down to a near crystal clear version.

This song makes me feel so lonely.......so very lonely

I think this song exemplifies Laura. She's hurt and sad, probably scared she won't be able to find Mary. Yet, there's something adventurously upbeat to this song, it reminds me of how unafraid she is to wander the town alone.

Laura doesn't see monsters. She's completely innocent. According to interviews and wikia, James is the only character who sees monsters. Angela sees her evil dad and brother and Eddie sees those who bullied him for being overweight. Laura doesn't see monsters due to her being the most innocent character in the game. Therefore the town to her is nothing more than just some abandoned place

Something about this song makes me feel so calm... yet so sad. It's like I've lost something and no matter how hard I look it will never be found, but from the loss will come something even more precious. That's the best way to describe it...

Silent Hill 2 is definitely a must buy/play/complete game

This cutscene always felt like a nice breath of fresh air..

I love listening to this song when I'm in a ponderous mood or on grey, gloomy days, when the weather is overcast/cloudy, and snow is gently falling. So tranquil. Fantastic game series, films, and scores. Thanks for looping this properly, without altering the original pitch.

Human beings are walking contradictions... I can say the same. Miyamotō Musashi's Dokkōdō or The Way Of The Path Of Solitude helped a lot.

This was a very important milestone in gaming. For the time, the graphics and the heavy story content. There'll be nothing like it. Helps to appreciate it for the masterpiece it is

Silent hill always had grate music. This one is amongst my favorites. It has very deep tones of sadness that work so well in the story.

the melody is melancholy and sad, yet some parts bring hope and light to the song. listening to this makes me feel isolated, just like james

My first introduction to Silent hill was the movie as a child and I remember being horrified but intrigued now it’s literally one of my favorite horror movies of all time. I’ve never new there was a game franchise until recently I sometimes watch gameplay from time to time, I remember hearing this song in the beginning of the movie and as of right now I’m watching the movie and I had to find this song glad I did 😩😩

i can vividly remember 9/11 era news on the tv in the other room while playing this in my air conditioned living room my with my old best friend day after day, staring at the tv, the fan of the ps2 silently whirring and occasional disc reading sound

This song puts me at peace, and I imagine a room somewhere that is dark, cold with a wan light shinning in. The room is away from everywhere and everyone, and it's there I want to go whenever I've had enough of the world.

Happy 20th anniversary to Silent Hill 2, the greatest horror game ever made! I still remember the day when I got it for ps2 during the Christmas 20 years ago.

This song sounds pretty peaceful and calming.
