They already confirmed a long time ago that the gunshots were muffled for the music, a decision by Konomi so they didn't really change much.

This looks incredible! The atmosphere is so well done, and I am super hyped to explore the locations with this over-the-shoulder view! Opens up to many fun details and trickery with lights and angles. Combat looks pretty fun too, and thankfully its not "perfect" as James would not be super skilled at it :P Keep up the good work, and I cant wait for October 8th :)

Well in Silent Hill ammo has always been mostly abundant compared to some RE games.

Im very much expecting the remake of Silent Hill 1 over this one but, the mood, ambience and vibe this one trailer gives? Really hopeful for whats to to come.

It look way better than i thought some animations feels a bit weird but i wish they fix it.

Glad to see its staying fairly true to the OG, especially with the change from fixed angle to 360° camera. The only thing i find wrong with this is James' combat animation's, they're too similar to the PS2 era and look odd with modern graphical capabilities, just my opinion.

"Faithfully made in the original vision" and, right off the bat, the fog is just dead still and not swirling and whisping around you like in the original game and specifically mentioned in making-of documentary...hahahahaha

I never did play any silent hill game as i am quite young, but i do heard from SO MANY people that silent hill is the greatest horror game in history, but i never did play the original series because im the type of gamer who cares about graphic (ik im a loser) so with this being release i hope i can experience what all my friend and people said about the silent hill series being the greatest in its genre

This 13-minute Silent Hill 2 Remake gameplay trailer cleared most of my doubts about this remake. The last combat trailer didn’t really excite me, but from this video, the remake looks incredible. They perfectly executed the same atmosphere, eerie vibes, and environmental details as in the original. The voice acting and character emotions are on point. So far, from what they’ve shown regarding combat, it looks very faithful to the original because James isn’t a combat veteran; he's always portrayed as a normal guy lost in this town in search of his wife. I’m really glad the Bloober Team developers kept the same jank and stiffness in the combat. I’m very excited for this remake and cautiously optimistic about it. I’m sure they’ll deliver it perfectly.

I liked the setting, and the modernized combat! This is the bloober team's big chance to show that it is capable of delivering a remake as good as the original. Good luck!

The atmosphere and sound design are definitely there and great, but the animations (particularly the swinging and the door opening ones) are very off.

I like what I see for the most part, I can get past the way some characters might look, but my main concern is the “feel”. If this game feels like Resident Evil, if it has bullet sponge enemies, if it strays too far from psychological horror, then I’m not going to like it. That being said, this is looking pretty exciting! Thank you Konami and Bloober for listening to Silent Hill’s fans

Take all the time you need to improve this game more further with the original team that creat silent hill 2 👍. This game take special place in old fan heart of this series .

The fixed camera wasn't "the best idea in Silent Hill". It was a technical necessity and they used it to their advantage. I do agree that the remake lacks atmosphere tho.

Definitely has better graphics than the RE Remakes. Those games suffered from flat lighting in certain areas even with ray tracing on. Guess it wasn’t full on ray tracing.

Acordate que el trailer nos muestra a María en el hospital Brookhaven. Recordemos que en el original, María deja un poco de lado todo su lado misterioso, ya que se encuentra muy preocupada por Laura, y desea encontrarla con James. Recordemos que Maria tiene una conexión o empatía con la niña, ya que esuna reencarnación de Mary. Mary y Laura eran amigas en el hospital. Esa podría ser una explicación del porque aún no vemos ese tono de María.

The overall atmosphere and sound design look and sound great! I'm excited. Already pre-ordered was just waiting for that release date.

It seemed to me that when during the animation the character walked, the cart rolled under his feet. And in melee attack animations, the weapon has no weight at all, so the camera shakes to hide it.

@@thehunk1 Lol. Yeah, Shattered Memories is definitely an odd duck. At the time, I think that was Konami's answer to bringing the original SH up to modern standards. I would also love to see a true remake of the original. One can hope. The game deserves more love than it gets.
