I've learnt a lot in the last year or two, but maybe learning to appreciate the sound of a sharp tool on Wood is one of the better things.

Control of the blade edges and using the grain structure to achieve the end result is an art form that can’t be taught from a book. Obviously feeling the spoon emerge and envision of the piece is apparent.

The only real difference you will see from an expensive axe and a cheap one is, the fit and finish. I personally love making something "my own" as I say. Ill spend a couple of days playing with a cheap axe and the edge, polish and handle will be just as good as a hundred dollar axe
