He does that to me too. I have learned to talk back to those thoughts."No, devil, I am a new creation, I have forgiven that person and I choose to remember it no more." God does the same when we miss it and repent, He removes it as far as the east is from the west. Listen to the Word of God being read, it builds your faith.

Pastor, i have the same situation as you are, i thought at one point i thought i wont love again, i even was against second marriage regardless from an abusive one, or controlling relationship even to our faith, but the joke is on me now, because i have love again, and i am happy right now! At one point there is this program here in my country, many abused wives go there to complain “on air” against their husbands who abandoned them, to the point, they still want them back. And i was bothered then about that and so i told GOD that in my prayer, and i thought, thats also like me. Unaware now that i am a widow now and at 51years old, GOD still made me know what love really means, that i want the wives complaining in that program to know that we are daughters of GOD and they can just let go and just let GOD comfort them, that after they seek GOD is, GOD CAN AND GOD WILL GIVE THEM SECOND CHANCE TO LOVE AGAIN, and when that time comes is, ITS FOR THE BEST MAN WHO GOD CHOSE FOR THEM!
