Basia c I couldn’t agree more, Sigrid and Aurora both are breaths of fresh air in the music world - and they are both wonderful role models for young girls! What a remarkable young women, she just shines. So full of talent and life, yet completely down to earth. I feel more alive just for having listened to her.

She is adorable and simply lovely. On top of her incredible stage presence and musicality that's a heady combination. I love her dancing and her odd Norwegian / Irish accent! She's got it all. The industry must be breaking out the champagne! I hope she stays true and is not exploited, but she's obviously a smart girl so I hope she pulls the strings.

The reason she sounds Irish is that we (Norwegians) was on a trip to Ireland a while ago, about 1000 years + ago

Caught my attention on the Graham Norton show ,Brilliant voice But i already knew that scandinavians speak perfect english which shames me ,i'm english and can hardly say a sentence in a different language, i've met many on my holidays over the years .Lovely people

Hmmm... I wouldn't say impeccable, that would be the Finnish school system. But they do teach English from primary school (and a little in barnehagen).

No it is only 3. Scandinavia is Norway, Sweden and Denmark. Iceland and Finland are not a part of it.

Hollis Miller - No, Norway, Sweden and Denmark equals 3! If you add more, we’re talking of the Nordic countries (which includes Finland, Iceland and the Faroe Islands). Many get these two different mixed up, you are not the only one... 😊

No they didn't. They founded a few major cities. Their cultural influence however was extremely little. The Norse living in Ireland were actually in fact absorbed into Gaelic culture rather than the other way around.

someone mentioned she signed with someone irish so given that most Norwegians I've met in my 10 years here have an american twang usually, I would say she is influenced by an individual rather than a historic connection to vikings :D :P
