The reason why your brakes feel poo is bc you have the anti-lock up breaking thing on, this limits how much you can apply the breaks so you don't lock up

to be fair he does do super short races so its hard to overtake legit in a 10 lap race , in a longer race you can afford to sit behind people and bang out laps hoping to just make up a second over 20 laps or whatever

@@samross316 It's tough given that the cars don't take damage and the ai drivers never turn in on divebomb attempts. There's no extrinsic incentive.

5:30 they are braking early because there is a long train, so they cant just ram into the back of each other

@@Elexic Because ERS won't improve his racecraft. (If he WANTS to get better at the game (I'm not saying he should if he's just playing for fun)), he needs to focus more on when to shift, how to trailbrake, and overall how to manoeuvre his car properly. ERS meta will not solve these fundamental issues whilst learning to race.

Love the series keep it going mate!

Josh, you can charge ERS by switching the ERS mode to Medium or None on the first page of your MFD screen (Where you can also see your tyre percentage etc). Put it to none on a part of the circuit where you know no one can overtake you and you can get 30% back or even more if you also nail the corners, but you risk your competitor gaining on you or pulling away for a lap.

@@bibhushanrajthala he did lap 13: 1. Gasly had DRS and passed him 2. Josh got DRS for next straight and was on the outside, forcing Gasly to be defensive on T1 3. Josh SWITCHBACKS into Gasly’s inside (best position to defend T3), gets DRS and easily overtakes him.

Cockpit view makes braking feel better for me and longer races will let you actually race instead of having to dive to pick up places in a 8 lap feature 1 weekend a video you actually focus in will be a better format

@zerkaaplays need to learn about the ERS (battery) modes and changing it to none and overtake modes on the on screen menu during the race

Josh a Important tip is ERS Usage first open the MFD on the bottom right In qualifying you want to use a mix of Overtake and Hotlap because you can't use Overtake the whole lap because the green bar is how much you have available that lap the yellow is how much you have overall now in the race open the MFD you have Overtake, Hotlap, Medium and None put it into Hotlap when you go low on Battery lower it into Medium or None to charge it will do it quickly but you will be slow so do it into the corners Overtake drains the Battery quick so use it carefully

if you have the space, get a single monitor racing sim rig, you can get a midrange sim for £2k with a moza r9 v2 wheel base and a moza ks wheel. only takes up as much space as a desk in the room.

The way to figure the ai difficulty is by being within 2 tenths of your teammate in quali

Josh on the bottom right settings in race set your ERS to None and it charges so fast then just press LB to switch it to overtake when you want and you’ll have much more ERS to use when you need it

Josh (during overtakes): It's either my position or no position for anyone of us

You can turn flashbacks on limited in simulation settings

Saw people play with ERS deployment mode during laps you might wanna check that out

Your car brakes worse because you downshift too late, the car brakes harder at lower gears so you should downshift earlier as it helps slow the car down

Btw for f2 the top 10 from quail is reversed for the sprint race so you qualified 2nd to start 9th and 1st started 10th

Can you move yourself either to the top right or left

Dont lift when it shows light yellow you can go flat out

Wish they would push f3,f4 fE or push like more of a story or maybe even driver good and mad of stuff like nascar did. It could effect how your team treats you, or what teams may or may not sign you

You should put you ERS mode to Hotlap,in Qualifying that way you go a lot faster. And put your brake pressures on you MFD to about 54% so you can brake better , sometimes even 50%

KMAG was pulling away so easily at the start of the race because he was using much more battery than you. You can see the light flashing on the back of his car which means he has less than 10% battery left while you had 70%. Same in qualifying, all the AI are gonna be draining their batteries for their laps

1:12 Yas Marina is the best circuit to go to, I went for my 21st birthday in 2022 and it was an amazing atmosphere with qualifying, the race and everything else during and afterwards

Drag reduction system. It opens a flap on the rear wing....reducing drag and therefore increasing top speed. You can use it in certain parts of the track only....and only when you are within 1 second of the car in front at the detection line.

please turn off traction control it is much more fun and rewarding to play without it also more realistic. Other than that enjoying the series keep it up :)
