Hi, I love this video, one of the hidden gems on youtube!!! I have been thinking about getting an fp to record videos using some vintage lenses I have but I'm wondering how you carry out the focusing while keeping the video so smooth. I tend to have jerks when focusing and end up missing focus (with my dslr).

I didn’t pull focus when I was filming. Manual focus isn’t like you’re afraid of. You just need practice, I guess. Thank you.

I’m happy w the fp but not in every occasion. It can not be my A cam. Fp + FDs are my best kit. Thank you.

What settings do you shoot with, and what software are you using for color grading? Do you use Davinci Resolve? If yes, what settings do you use under Color Management in Project Settings, and do you use Color Transform or a LUT? Your videos are spectacular, and I'd use these shots in a feature film. That's how good they are.

Cdng 1080p in camera, 5600k iso-100. BlackmagicRaw in resolve. I used Arri709 lut but any luts for Blackmagic camera would work fine I think. Thank you.

@@hideki_film Hi Hideki, beautiful video. I have one (probably amateur) question. With such a low ISO (100) and such a high fstop (f9+), how do you accurately monitor what you are filming in the camera screen? Does it not look incredibly dark?

Great film, I love the tone. It's like something you can see in a film festival. I've noticed that you've both owned sigma fp and lumix s5 for some days. So I'm wondering which one you will recommand. I love the color more in sigma fp. But it can be adjusted in davinci. The s5 has v-log and better dynamic range which makes it easier to store and better image without using raw. I don't think I will need the raw all the time. Thank you!

I would say I recommend the fp if you really want the color and texture, because almost no other cameras can produce the same quality of image, except some high end cinema cameras. Otherwise the S5 or any other cameras can suit your needs I think. Thank you.

I fell in love with FP after watching your video. The videos I've seen of others using FP have not been as compelling. Your videos are so cinematic in color, composition, and movement. I saw a video comparing BMPCC 4K to fp, and he said that he had to be careful when shooting because fp lacks highlight roll-off. I'd like to know what you think.

What adapter do you use for the Sigma FP to use CY lenses? I bought the K&F filter. It's too long and it always focus past infinity. I have to focus to infinity, then back off a little to get focus.

Color depth, texture and motion cadence in cdng really set this camera apart, unfortunately the lack of olpf is blatant on some shots.

@@hideki_film yes it seems to me that number of stops the camera can capture is one thing and perhaps the color bit depth and absolute no compression is as important or more so than resolution.. .this is why Arri cameras still have lower resolution but better depth and number of stops they can capture - but they still look amazing.
