First off, I appreciate the fact that you remain consistent with feedback even when you are questioning the color selection of a company with whom you are affiliated. You are not a politician. Good for you! Next, your comparisons are so helpful. We can all make up our own minds. And I agree…half of this palette is warm. It would have been truly awesome if the entire palette was truly cool neutral. Thanks for what you do and for being so refreshingly honest

As a person with a very light, cool pink undertone… Most of these colors look straight up warm on me.

Definitely, I think they should just call it a neutral palette, it's a mix of warm and cool shades. I have very fair skin too, and even with a warm yellow undertone, most brown shades marketed as "neutral" are hot cheeto orange on me. It's a struggle, lol. I get the best results with extremely cool shades, those end up looking more neutral on me ironically. Edited to add: it's also confusing because companies don't just use "neutral" to mean in between cool and warm, they use it as "non-colorful", aka, brownish nude shades, which could still be extremely warm or cool toned. I wish they'd just use "natural" or "nude" if that's what they mean.

Very pale skin with pink undertones...Cheetos time with most "neutral" palettes.

I personally really appreciate this video from you Angela! I saw a comment earlier, stating that they felt a little uncomfortable with your opinions, given all that Sigma as a company has done for you; I believe that are doing them a great service by doing real swatch comparisons and essentially, calling shenanigans when shenanigans are abound. Companies do need to be kept honest, (not that there was ever any mal intentions to begin with) as many do make bad decisions from time to time :) Thank you for your work, you are my favorite beauty influencer!

@steph__ is right. Too warm & deep. The color story seems very fragmented, like two groups of people had a hand in creating it.

I was amazed at how close some of those other palettes’ swatches were to the new Sigma palette! Seriously! And that Laguna shade is beautiful! I like the dramatic look you created! Thanks for taking the time to share all of this. Sigma gets me with these 14 pan palettes. I get what you're saying, but it just kind of sings to me. I do agree that it would've been nice if there were some lighter shades or a highlight shade. It's just not a huge deal to me because I always have my 3 oan contour palette in my makeup bag to assit with blending out mattes. I love Iris and Laguna. Ireallyy fell in love with Sydney Grace's formula and I just have not been using my Sigma palettes as much lately and they were a long time fav for a while for me. It may just be that I've had to toss quite a bit due to expiration. In retrospect, I wonder if the weird smell was just the shadows taking on the smell of the wood of my vanity.

Your eyebrows are so sharp and perfected they are really satisfying to look at ❤

I love these videos, while this new palette is pretty but I don’t think it’s for me. The look is beautiful and with the other videos you have done, I think it really does give everything on this palette. For instance the palettes that look similar you may have overlooked so this one is a great buy. Also you may have used said palettes to pan and cannot get the ones so close and getting this one will give you the ones you want again and extra’s. So there are wins with this in depth look into palettes. Thank you Angela for the look into these palettes, informative choices make things so much easier for us ❤

Have you tried any of tarte's palettes? Juvias place has nice shadows too, ambiance from sigma i feel like has browns also. If you haven't, try some alter ego ones too! ❤

@kjc4779 ty so much I have been thinking about trying juvias place I have been eyeing their beautiful purple palette and the palettes all look beautiful and seems to have a lot of color pay off. I have looked into the tarte palette but thought it had a somewhat orange brown to it on the picture swatch could be thinking of something else. I'm definitely thinking of the sigma palette for sure. I'm going to have to check out Alter ego. If only Sephora and ulta were closer.

If you're already considering Juvias Place, I think the Nubian Earth palette has mattes that at least look truly neutral on me. Originally, when I bought it, I thought it was cool toned. Maybe it is, but on my warm skin tone it comes out neutral. If you consider this one, maybe go into Ulta and swatch it first. I used to love Juvias Place shadows but they're just not the same anymore. They're not bad, but I don't think they're great. Their are a few stunning shades in the paletge but the shimmers are a bit muted for the most part and I need to build up the mattes. That may be some peoples preference though. I know that sounds pretty negative of a review over all, but it was the 1st palette that I considered to have cool toned browns that looked good on me. I do also really love the ABH Sultry mini. I never got the original vut I do love the mini. I kind of wish they kept the coral matte in the mini but truly I have enjoyed the Sultry mini so much.

@MoonlitSunflower ty very interesting about juvias place. They must have changed their formula. I'm looking for good color payoff without the chalky and orange looking browns. It seems a lot of palettes nowadays seem to be making all the browns orange, which is frustrating. I will definitely take your comment into consideration and look into your recommendations.

Hmmm...I'm not a warm tone girlie AT ALL! So, whereas I couldn't wait to get my hands on this! Now I'm more in the meh stage! I love Sigma! And I really love the shimmer shades in the new palette, but I don't know if I would use it over my current collection?? I think my best bet would be getting an all shimmer palette or close to, that's cool tones. Any suggestions? This is a very helpful video! Thx 💐

I think if it wasn't for the expectations of the name, I wouldn't have second thoughts about it. It is a pretty palette.

Hi Angela!! It feels uncomfortable to me, and I’m not sure why as of yet, that you absolutely do not like this palette at all! Frankly imo, if you just name it something else and forget about that part of the equation, I think it is one of their most beautiful palettes they’ve done, recently. I for one will be ordering it even later tonight if I happen to be still awake (although doubtful) when the clock strikes midnight. I guess I’m in the minority but I truly love the shades. But I do admit, as a color story goes, it is a bit disjointed. And not having an artist’s eyes like you luckily possess, my brain can’t process the colors into a look the way your mind obviously does, and does it brilliantly if I may say. Obviously my tastes in eyeshadow are different than yours and while having a large number of palettes in my collection that are not past expiration, I couldn’t possibly have access to or even know about the items that pass through your doors. And honestly it seems like you must really hate this palette to be going after a company that has done so much for you and your brand. While I truly appreciate your honesty, and Angela I really do, it feels uncomfortable for me to hear you hate on Sigma so much just over what at worst seems like a badly named yet pretty eyeshadow palette. I’m not at all a mean spirited person and I do not in any way, shape or form want you to feel that I am being this way to you. You are by far my most favorite makeup influencer and as always, I daily reach for gaining knowledge from all of the wonderful content you’ve provided us throughout the years. You, my friend, are the best in the business at what you do! If they gave awards to KZreadrs you’d be the star winner of the biggest prize every single time! 😊

I wouldn't say I hate the palette! This color story is just not for me and my personal preferences :) I just really don't see myself using this palette a lot. Yes of course I love love Sigma as a brand, but I'm not going to be obsessed with every single product they come out with. I can't wait to hear your thoughts on it!!
