Sigma 35mm f/1.2 VS Zeiss 35mm f/1.4 for Sony E Mount | In Depth Comparison (NERDY)
I got my hands on the Sigma 35mm f1.2 lens a couple weeks ago and have really enjoyed shooting with it. But is it better than my Sony Zeiss 35mm f1.4? Thats what I aim to find out in this comparison video. They are similarly priced at $1500 and $1600 respectively, so lets see how they compare in image quality, bokeh, vignetting, distortion, autofocus, and built quality.

wow posted on the day I ordered a zeiss 35 :)) took your word from the other video.. got it for the price lesser than the sigma 1.4 since it was a rush sell

That’s great! It was smart to make sure it’s a newer one. It’s a great lens at full price, but at that price it can’t be beat
Just holding my self on that zeiss 1.4 after saw Sigma launch the 85 1.4 dg dn, I mean, I believe sigma 35 and 50 dn , must be coming? Somebody explain to me that the zeiss must be a 2019 and up copy
I didn't move to Sony from Nikon to strap a beast like the Sigma f1.2 on it. I just recently moved to autofocus from my 35 Summicron on my A7iii to the Sony Zeiss f1.4 and it's a pain to walk around with. Street shooting I still go back to the 35 Summicron. Appreciate the review though.

I totally agree for travel and street photography. Carrying around giant lenses can be a huge pain. Sigma has also been making some really cool compact lenses now that I’m eager to get my hands on.
I love the Zeiss just wish I could get a good copy :/

I read in a forum that all the copies manufactured after 2018 had all the issues taken care of. Not sure about that though. I got lucky with my copy
In my opinion, The sigma is best 35mm lens out. That huge thing is amazing.

I pretty much agree. I could see the size and weight being a deal breaker for some people though
i think sigma more sharp then zeiss
