I really appreciate this. I think the more I put into it, the more people will enjoy. So I want to give the best quality I can with my limited resources

I got myself a Bear Whitetail Maxx. My dealer notified me tonight that it came in, so I'll be picking it up tomorrow. I've got too many bows, so this one will be the last one I purchase, which will be the one I leave in my car over the winter for those opportunities to hunt at the spur of the moment on some of the private properties that are available to me. I'm really liking the Bear line of bows this year, especially the Alaskan XT, the Whitetail Maxx, and the Legend XR. I opted to go with the Whitetail Maxx just to see what it can do and how it compares to my Bowtech bows (Destroyer 350, Prodigy, RPM 360, and Solution SS). I may end up selling the Solution SS if the Whitetail Maxx tunes up better.

@@DylanJustesen1 I played with the bow tonight and discovered a clicking noise as I cam to full draw, pulling into the valley. The bottom cam was leaning away from the cable, causing the drawstop peg to slip past the cable, making the clicking noise. I ended up having to re-shim both cams so that they were evenly shimmed, and moved left. This fixed the cam to lean back towards the cable, thus allowing full contact between the drawstop peg and the cable. Bow is also now shooting bulletholes through paper, as it tore nock right when I first shot it with the cam positions all out of whack. The bow is very light, which lends itself to having a bit of vibration and hand-shock, but I think a nice set of weighty stabilizers will resolve this issue. Bow is also shooting quite fast with a 385 grain arrow at 27" draw (as measured, not at the 26.5" module setting), and 62# (lowered from 70#).

@@DylanJustesen1 Half a crank on the limb bolts brought the poundage up to 65#, which is where I prefer. I'll get you speed ratings tomorrow at this poundage with my 385 grain Axis arrows.

Definitely draw length is too long. String is way behind your nose. Arrow looks like is 4’ long 😅 Elbow looks hyperextended, hence why you slapped your forearm.

What bow is that??

@@Douger318 I think the EV Species is a really good option! The single cam definitely helps my shoulder plus i like that there are two options of the EV being either 45-60 lbs or 55-70lbs

Easier way to. Shoot at 8 yards . You don’t really need to shoot so many arrows . One and move it .

Doesn’t your off placement become more exaggerated the further you get away from the target?

@@DylanJustesen1 you should be able to hit a golf tee at 8 yards. When you step back to 20 you will be within 1/4”. Then your windage is set for all pins. 2-3 shots at 30 then maybe a few more at 40 and youre good to go. Depending on your skill level of course. If you cant do that then you probably need work before hunting for sure

You are right! I do have a lot to learn and I am glad you like others commented on it. I don’t know if the people knew the cam setup was a little different on the long draw but I am glad people commented on it so I could do some research and figure out the correct mod length.

Draw length is too long...just wasting your time....your inconsistent because of your draw length
