Yall, Im the other person in the video, yea the horse is stressed but its because her old barn taught her different ways then the right way, shes being taught contact and any horse learning riding or contact may be stressed, so if any of yall knew what you were talking about you'd know that all horses are like that learing something new like contact or jumping and shes a mare so shes gonna have sass like that as well.

The reason he’s backing up sm is bc your hands are on your lap. Maybe loosen your reigns before you go telling everyone you rode a “crazy” horse. He’s not crazy he’s just confused. You’re giving him mixed signals. Anyone can tell he’s stressed out.

I didn’t say she was crazy, my barn just got her and she used to do reining, that’s her old cue to back up and we were working on breaking her of that so I was told to just have contact and leave my hands on my thighs. She was completely confused but in the end she walked forward with contact on the bit. Sorry for the confusion

@@Papa_loraxroadto1k the cue for a reining horse to back up is squeezing the girth not consistent pressure on the mouth.

Well that’s not what they did at her old barn, they put contact like that and she backed up. Not every barn teaches horses that same. She’s also never jumped before so we had to teach her

@@Papa_loraxroadto1k ok but if u look at reiners there’s NEVER pressure on the face, they use leg cues. also, contact doesn’t mean hands in your lap ripping his face off? he was clearly stressed
