Do you have information on the recommended yardage Zero and what distance the hold dots are set at for 5.56 Nato and does the outer ring count as a farthest hold dot?

Dang it Neal.. I was unaware Sig had redone the 4 series Romeos....... The older QD could break where the latch caught the lever so the change was probably was probably for the best. Your reviews are really well done. Keep up the good work.

Thanks so much! I wasn't aware that the old QD was susceptible to breakage. Definitely a good move for Sig to redesign it. I love companies that listen to their customers and then continue to improve them.

The QD on the 4H and the 4S look to be identical. The older 4C looks different and if it's perceived as less durable at least Sig would stand behind the mount if it were to fail.

Yes I believe you are right. I think they updated the QD design when the 4S came out earlier this year. And then Sig also went ahead and updated the 4H to this new QD as well. So if I'm not mistaken it's only the early Gen1 Romeo4 sights that will have the old deign. Everything new from Sig from 2017 on will have the upgrade.

Romeo 4 or Romeo 5xdr for an 300 Blackout AR SBR. Use will be on a range toy, home defense, maybe hog hunt. No military or LEO use.

SIG/SAUER is coming on like gangbusters in optics.

I have the 4C and its just as rugged in fact I really like the stealth look it has the new mount is ugly to me

Does the romeo4 come with a juliet 3? Or do I have to buy them separately?

I just picked one of these for $355. Too good to pass up!

Can anybody tell me the difference between the 4S MFR# SOR432022 and MFR# SOR432021??? At first I thought it was just the year, but the 2021costs around 435, while the 2022 costs like 385?? HALP! Which model is in this video??

to the lefties out there: does the obscene bulge on the right side of the sight block your view while using the rifle left handed? That's been my one reservation with these sights that have the large button cell and adjustment turret on that side of the sight.

Yes it does use the same footprint which is the aimpoint t1/ T2 micro footprint

Maurice Lewis Maurice either one would work. The only difference between the Juliet 3 and the Juliet 4 is the magnification. They're construction is practically the same

@@stefanomannias6041 this is just my opinion but i believe there are 3 things you shouldn’t cheap out. That is red dot, weapon light, and bcg on an ar-15. If you cant afford an aimpoint, save and buy aimpoint😅

The Sig is going to have better fit and finish overall, and probably a better warranty with the Sig Sauer infinite guarantee. But Holosun is not far off, and you can't beat their value. It's a tough choice, but the good news is I don't think you make a bad choice with either one.

@@kansasgardener5844 I own and have owned Sig optics and Holosun optics for years. When it comes to Chinese optics just look at the features. Holosun was the first with "Solar Backup", "Auto Brightness", "Shake Awake" and "Circle Dot"! The controls on Sig red dots and Holosun are very similar. Do you really think Sig makes Red Dots in Germany and sells them for the reasonable price they charge? There is nothing wrong with Sig or Holosun sights, the Chinese are making some good stuff and some terrible stuff. Sig does sell come higher quality expensive optics that are made in the Philippines and Japan.

It only gives you five years on electrical...it’s a shit warranty compared to many others i.e. primary arms, vortex, eotech etc...

I've seen the Romeo4H for $230 on a military/police vendor site, that's a crazy good price. I got the 4DR because I'm a poor civilian.

Actually, the 4T will continue to operate with enough ambient light even with no battery in it at all. I wouldn't say that is worthless.

"better than aimpoint" I think the only way to make that judgment is if you look at these through a PVS-14. That extra $200 pays for clearer glass, which makes a major difference when viewing through night vision. I used to think there was literally no reason to use an Eotech over an aimpoint, holosun, or sig romeo but it turns out that Eotech's and Aimpoints are actually usable with NVGs and holosuns aren't.

This is not solar powered..

You do know that holosun makes those right? They are just rebranded holosuns.

I sent Sig an email asking where it was made and they said Japan. From my limited research, the 5's are made in China, the 4H and 4S is Japan with 4T are assembled in the US with some Japanese parts.

Pro tip: Rub the battery with a thin coat of electrical contact grease and it will not corrode. 😎👌

​@@cbert007It will help them last longer and not get corrosion on your optics contact points. Batteries can still have issues, due to heat, so change them out annually. 👍

So where were the pictures of the different reticles that you promised? You spent way too much time repeating yourself over and over again.

What are the metrics one wants to use to determine "better than?" I own both and that is a subjective opinion based on your own standards of quality and or utility, as is mine. I don't give blanket arguments any room when people use that because they are too lazy to qualify their measure of quality between two products. Simply saying one is better without the why is meaningless. Nor can you impose your standards of better on someone else. As for Aimpoint. I am all about them, used them in the military. I can still say better is subjective when you don't qualify the why. Sig Sauer are not in my subjective opinion, "cheap." In your subjective opinion they are. Awesome, we both exercised Freedom of Speech. You have your opinion and I have mine. I'm done here, good day.

@@Amayi1 Sorry, just..no. In no world is a Hyundai a superior vehicle to a Mercedes. Can one have that opinion? Yes, but....it's a nonsensical opinion to hold. Sig optics ARE cheap. There's nothing in question there. Look at the price. Are they hundreds of dollars cheaper than higher end optics? yes. Are they, then, cheap optics? Yes. They're made in a factory in China by the lowest bidder with the cheapest parts they can find, and then Sig just....puts their name on it. I used Aimpoints in the military as well. I've seen them fall out of helicopters. I've seen them run over. I've seen them slammed full force into walls doing entry. And they all still worked right. I own this Sig optic and there's NO WAY i'd trust it to survive any of those and still function correctly.
